When harmed by Samde, snakes, scorpions, centipedes, and venomous creatures like bees with sharp stingers, recite seven times, one hundred and eight times, or a thousand times. Alternatively, apply yellow clay. This will surely liberate you from illness. When afflicted by demons or winds, or when illness arises on one side of the body, or if the ears are deaf or the nose is blocked, recite one hundred and eight times. Or, with oil, ghee, yogurt, and rue, recite seven times, then anoint the body, eat it, and apply it to the ears and nose. There is no doubt that you will recover. Then, the great Bodhisattva Sunlight, for the sake of protecting and safeguarding travelers on the road, spoke this blessed mantra: Namo Buddhāya Gurave, Namo Dharmāya Tvā Yini, Namah Sanghāya Mahāte, Tribhyo Pi Svāhā Nāma. Reciting this mantra day and night purifies all sins and pacifies all illnesses. On the road, you will not encounter obstacles or demons, and you will always be joyful and attain supreme accomplishment. Bodhisattva Moonlight also spoke this mantra for protection: Shamatā Herusha Ho, Ājñāpate, Surute, Shamkete, Varamabyāte, Surute, Kālātate, Khimate Svāhā. On a five-colored thread, recite seven times and tie twenty-one knots. Tying it around the neck will cure illness and bring countless other benefits. For snake bites, recite seven times over the open wound, and it will heal. For the skins of lions, tigers, leopards, bears, and brown bears, recite twenty-one times. After reciting, give it to someone who upholds vows to wear. Immediately, it will dispel epidemics. When suddenly threatened by evil spirits, burn gugul incense while reciting seven times. Mix wolfsbane, mustard seeds, salt, and white salt, and recite twenty-one times. Place it near the sick person's bed and fumigate, the spirits will flee, and the patient will be freed from illness. Boil rue in sesame oil. Anointing with it will quickly cure hemiplegia, earaches, and paralysis. Alternatively, use resin oil. Anointing the navel with sesame oil will surely lead to a swift delivery. Cold artemisia ensures that no flesh appears. Mixing duruka and spyi mong will cure severe heart disease. Applying warm cow dung to wounds will heal burns. When long worms eat the heart, drink a handful of white horse urine, which will expel the creatures. Place ram's leaves on fruit.
