Possessing power, they are my servants, I have come to worship them. Gautama, the hero, I behold you in accordance with the Dharma. I have seen all places in Magadha, the place of Kashika holding a lotus, the supreme king resides in Vaishali, the famous one resides in Gada, Kubera resides in Rajagriha, the fierce one resides in Sairkya, wealth resides in Tamala, and victory resides everywhere in Mitila. These eight great mothers are the supreme leaders of the Yaksha hosts, possessing great magical powers and great fortune. All those great powerful ones possess minds of goodness and faith. Having taken refuge in the perfectly enlightened Buddha, and having gathered with them, the great king, the powerful one, for the sake of the truly perfectly enlightened Buddha's teachings, and for the sake of compassion for beings, may this protection well accomplish the turning back of Yakshas, Bhutas, Yidags, and hateful demons, and the turning back of non-humans. Then, King Vaishravana, sitting with palms joined, spoke thus: Having transcended all hatred and fear, liberated and without defilements, Gautama, the hero, I behold you in accordance with the Dharma. All the gods and accomplished ones, and all the Brahmins worship you, and sixty-four thousand Yakshas have also come, encircling all around, and are abiding with palms joined.
