The perfectly complete Buddha has shown, fully proclaimed, and correctly and thoroughly explained this Golden Light Sutra, the King of Sutras. Venerable Bhagavan, because of that cause and that condition, that human king will not be harmed, and will respectfully listen to, respectfully serve, and respectfully make offerings to this Golden Light Sutra, the King of Sutras. After making this request, the Bhagavan said to the Four Great Kings: Therefore, you four Great Kings, along with your armies and attendants, should not be harmed, and in order to protect the human king who listens to, serves, and makes offerings to this Golden Light Sutra, the King of Sutras, you should greatly rejoice. Great Kings, whether it is a bhikshu, a bhikshuni, an upasaka, or an upasika, those who uphold the King of Sutras, the Golden Light Sutra, are like upholding the deeds of the Buddha. They will perform the deeds of the Buddha in this world, including gods, humans, and asuras. The Golden Light Sutra, the King of Sutras, will also be widely and correctly explained in detail. You four Great Kings must protect the bhikshus, bhikshunis, upasakas, and upasikas who uphold the sutra, so that they are free from harm, free from disease, free from strife, and have peace of mind, and so that the Golden Light Sutra, the King of Sutras, is correctly and thoroughly taught. All those bhikshus, bhikshunis, upasakas, and upasikas who uphold the sutra should be completely protected, completely rescued, completely embraced, completely nurtured, and made peaceful and happy. Then, the Great King Vaishravana, the Great King Dhritarashtra, the Great King Virudhaka, and the Great King Virupaksha rose from their seats, bared their right shoulders, knelt on their right knees, and bowed with their palms together in the direction of the Bhagavan. At that time, they praised the Bhagavan with these clear and reasonable verses: Victorious One, with a body like the spotless moon.

Victorious One, like the light of a thousand suns, Victorious One, lotus-like, with immaculate eyes, Victorious One, with teeth like dust-free lotus petals, The qualities of the Victorious One are like an ocean, It is the source of many precious jewels. Victorious One, like an ocean filled with the water of wisdom, Completely filled with hundreds of thousands of samadhis. The feet of the Victorious One are marked with wheels, Surrounded by a circumference, likewise with a thousand spokes. The hands and feet are adorned with nets, The nets on the feet are like the king of geese. Standing tall like a golden mountain. Victorious One, immaculate, like the king of golden mountains, All qualities are like Mount Meru. I prostrate to the Buddha, the victorious king of mountains. The Thus-Gone One is like the full moon, Also equal and similar to the sky, Like illusion and mirage, without attachment. I prostrate to the immaculate Victorious One. Then, the Bhagavan spoke in verses to the Four Great Kings: "This supreme king, the most excellent of sutras, The golden light of the ten powers, Guardians of the world, all of you, Should protect it with steadfast diligence. Thus, this profound jewel of a sutra, Which bestows happiness on all sentient beings, For the benefit and happiness of sentient beings, May it long abide in this Jambudvipa. Thus, in the great thousandfold world of the three thousand, In those worlds, the suffering of the lower realms and, The suffering of sentient beings in hell, May all suffering be pacified. Whoever in this Jambudvipa, All the kings residing in Jambudvipa, Having generated great joy, Should protect the lands with the Dharma. Whoever brings happiness to this Jambudvipa, And also increases the prosperity of good harvests, In all places of Jambudvipa, May all sentient beings be happy. Whoever among the lords of men, Delights in the land, delights in personal happiness, And delights in the prosperity of kingship, Should listen to this king of sutras. 我如妙好之树，功德皆生于家中。国王凡有所求，亦当如是观此经王之胜。如冷水能解渴，热逼困顿得之如获至宝。对于功德渴乏之国王，此经王之胜亦复如是。犹如一切珍宝所出之处，珍宝之器置于掌中。对于人王之众，此殊胜金光，此经王之胜亦复如是。此为天众所供养，经王天主所敬礼。 守护世间大神通，为四者所恒常守护。十方诸佛亦恒常忆念此经王。此经王若宣说，诸佛皆赞言善哉。百千俱胝夜叉众，亦于十方守护国土。以极喜悦与极欢悦之心，听闻此经王。于赡部洲所安住，不可思议之天众，彼诸天众皆大欢喜，听闻此经王。以此听闻诸法之事，能获得光荣、力量与精进。具有大光荣之天身，将极增长且得兴盛。其后四大天王听闻世尊所说如是偈颂，心生惊奇，深觉稀有，心生欢喜。彼等以佛法之力量，须臾之间哭泣拭泪。彼等身体颤动，肢体摇摆，充满欢喜、安乐与不可思议之心乐，向世尊散布天界曼陀罗花。散花之后，从座而起，袒露右肩，右膝着地。向世尊所在之处合掌恭敬，向世尊如是禀白道：尊者世尊，我等四大天王，每一位大天王皆为夜叉。

I am like a beautiful tree, with all virtues arising in the home. Kings who desire virtues should also view this supreme king of sutras in this way. Just as cold water quenches thirst, and finding it when greatly distressed by heat is like obtaining a treasure. For a king thirsty for virtues, this supreme king of sutras is just like that. Just as a place where all precious things originate, a vessel of jewels is in the palm of the hand. For the assembly of human rulers, this supreme golden light, this supreme king of sutras is just like that. This is manifestly worshipped by the assembly of gods, the king of sutras is revered by the lord of gods. Those who protect the world with great miraculous powers are constantly guarded by these four. The Buddhas in the ten directions also constantly remember this king of sutras. When this king of sutras is spoken, the Buddhas say, "Well done!" Hundreds of thousands of billions of yakshas also protect the land in the ten directions. With great joy and delight in their hearts, they listen to this king of sutras. The inconceivable assembly of gods who dwell in Jambudvipa, all those assemblies of gods are very happy and listen to this king of sutras. By this act of listening to the Dharma, one obtains glory, strength, and diligence. The body of a god with great glory will greatly increase and prosper. Then the four great kings, having heard these verses from the Blessed One, were amazed, astonished, and delighted. By the power of the Dharma, they wept for a moment, wiping away their tears. Their bodies trembled, their limbs shook, and they were filled with joy, happiness, and inconceivable mental bliss. They scattered heavenly mandārava flowers upon the Blessed One. Having scattered the flowers, they rose from their seats, bared one shoulder, and knelt on their right knees. They bowed with palms joined towards the Blessed One and said to the Blessed One: "Venerable Blessed One, we four great kings, each great king is a yaksha."
