The Noble Golden Light Sutra, the King of Sutras, called the Great Vehicle Sutra. The Noble Golden Light Sutra, the King of Sutras, called the Great Vehicle Sutra. The Tantra Thousand Father Teachings are present here. In Sanskrit: Ārya Suvarṇa-prabhāsa-uttama-sūtrendra-rāja-nāma-mahāyāna-sūtra. In Tibetan: The Noble Golden Light Sutra, the King of Sutras, called the Great Vehicle Sutra. Volume One. To all Buddhas of the past, future, and present, Bodhisattvas, Solitary Realizers, and Noble Hearers, I prostrate. Thus I have heard, at one time, on Vulture Peak, in the realm of Dharma, in the profound realm of the Buddhas, the Tathagata resided, pure and without defilements, and for the great Bodhisattvas, spoke the King of Sutras, which is extremely profound to hear, and extremely profound to fully contemplate. This is the explanation of the Noble Golden Light. The Buddhas of the four directions, blessed by the power of blessing, Akshobhya in the east, Ratnaketu in the south, Amitabha in the west, and Dundubhisvara in the north, in order to destroy all sins, proclaim the supreme auspiciousness, exhaust sinful deeds, bestow all happiness, destroy all suffering, the basis of all omniscience, well adorned with all splendor, having blessed it, it shall be spoken. Whatever sentient beings have impaired faculties, have exhausted their lifespan or have diminished lifespan, are attached to whatever is not complete, the gods turn their backs, friends and relatives generate hatred, are tormented by servants and the like, are not in harmony with each other, are harmed by the loss of wealth, have sorrow, fatigue, and harm, fear and poverty, are afflicted by planets and constellations, curses and spells, are threatened by unpleasant spirits, or see evil dreams arising from sorrow and fatigue, by this excellent, pure, and immaculate, one should listen to this holy sutra. Whoever has a joyful mind, good intention, and a pure place, well adorned with pure and excellent garments, in the profound realm of the Buddhas, if one listens to this sutra, by the glory of this sutra.

May all harm to all living beings, so unbearable, be always pacified. The lord who protects the world, together with the powerful ministers, and countless yakshas, protect them. The great goddess Saraswati, and the one dwelling on the banks of the Nairanjana River, and the demon mother Hariti, and the earth goddess Prithvi, and Brahma's power and the power of the gods, and the powerful dragon lords, and the lords of kinnaras, the lords of asuras, and likewise the lords of garudas, together with their retinues, power, and vehicles, come there, and day and night without懈怠, protect them. The profound realm of the Buddhas, the secret of all the Buddhas, difficult to find in hundreds of thousands of kalpas, this sutra should be well explained. Whoever hears this sutra, whoever causes others to hear it, whoever rejoices, whoever makes offerings, they will be worshiped by gods and nagas, humans and kinnaras, asuras and yakshas, for hundreds of thousands of kalpas. Those beings without merit, their accumulation of merit, will be boundless and immeasurable, and will increase inconceivably. The complete and perfect Buddhas of the ten directions, and those who practice profoundly, the Bodhisattvas also, will be well received. Having well arranged clean clothes, wearing fragrant clothes, keeping a loving heart close, make offerings without懈怠. One's own mind is without stain, and also vast, and the mind is also very gentle, listen to the holy sutra. Whoever hears this sutra, they are the best among people. They have obtained a good human body, and will live happily. Whatever ear hole, this teaching is heard, they have practiced virtue, and are praised by many Buddhas. From the Suvarnaprabhasa Sutra, the King of Sutras, the first chapter is called the Introductory Chapter. Again, at that time, in the great city of Rajagriha, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Beautiful Peak, having attended and honored the Buddhas of the past, increased the roots of virtue.

, that one who had served countless billions of hundreds of thousands of Buddhas thought thus: By what cause and what condition is it that the Blessed One Shakyamuni lives only to eighty years, his lifespan so short? He also thought: The Blessed One has also said, by two causes and two conditions one becomes long-lived, what are the two? Namely, abstaining from killing and generously giving food. The Blessed One Shakyamuni, from countless billions of hundreds of thousands of kalpas ago, had abstained from killing, and had perfectly taken up the path of the ten virtuous actions. He completely gave away food and inner and outer objects to sentient beings, even satisfying hungry sentient beings with the flesh, blood, bones, and marrow of his own body, what need to mention other foods? Thereafter, when that noble person contemplated in this way from the thoughts that went to the Buddha, his house became spacious and vast, made of blue lapis lazuli, adorned with many divine jewels, the Tathagata changed its color, pervaded by transcendent divine incense. From the four directions of that house, four divine jewel thrones appeared, and from those thrones arose cushions of divine cloth and jewels. From those cushions arose lotuses adorned with many divine flower jewels, the Tathagata changed their color. From those lotuses arose four Buddhas, Blessed Ones: From the east arose the Tathagata Akshobhya, from the south arose the Tathagata Ratnaketu, from the west arose the Tathagata Amitayus, from the north arose the Tathagata Dundubhisvara. As soon as those Buddhas, Blessed Ones, arose from those lion thrones, at that time the great city of Rajagriha was enveloped by a great light. The three thousand great thousand world realms, and even the boundaries of all the world realms in the ten directions, all the ten directions
