Those who hold this dhāraṇī and those who believe in it, because they are inseparable from the mind of enlightenment, will be like offering to the Buddha. Son of Śāradvatī, this dhāraṇī is: Tadyathā. Sandhāraṇi. Utadhāraṇi. Susaṃpratiṣṭhite. Sunāma. Supratiṣṭhite. Vijayabala. Satya pratijñā. Suāroha. Jñānaprati. Utpādani. Avanāvani. Abhiṣiñcani. Abhibyāhāra. Śubhavati. Suniḥśrita. Bahuguṃbha. Abhivadā svāhā. Son of Śāradvatī, if any bodhisattva perfectly dwells in and well grasps and holds this word of the undefiled dhāraṇī, then in a kalpa, or more than a kalpa, or a thousand kalpas, or a hundred thousand kalpas, his vows will not be exhausted. His body will not be harmed by weapons, not harmed by poison, and not harmed by snakes. Why? Kunda, whoever knows the names of these lightnings, and knows the directions, will not experience any fear of lightning, it should be known.
