The one hundred and eighty unmixed dharmas, such as the four kinds of eloquence, and all the wonderful and inconceivable dharmas will manifest. For example, relying on the wish-fulfilling jewel, all kinds of immeasurable and countless jewels will appear. Similarly, relying on the great samadhi jewel and the great wisdom jewel, all the supreme dharmas of all the Buddhas, various kinds of immeasurable and countless ones, will manifest. Son of the lineage, thus, the Dharmakaya, samadhi, and wisdom are completely beyond all characteristics, not stained by characteristics, non-conceptual, neither permanent nor impermanent, this is called practicing the Middle Way. Although it appears to have conceptualization, in reality, there is no conceptualization in its essence. Although it is counted as three, it is not actually three things. Without increase or decrease, it is like a dream and an illusion, there is no object to be grasped, and no grasper. The Suchness of the nature of Dharma is the place of liberation, completely beyond the realm of the Lord of Death, transcending the darkness of samsara, not achievable by all beings, not able to reach the ultimate, it is the place where all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abide. Son of the lineage, for example, if someone desires gold, searches everywhere and finds a gold mine, then crushes the gold mine carefully, melts and refines the essence, making it completely pure, and then turns the gold into bracelets and various kinds of ornaments at will, even if used, the nature of gold will not change. Son of the lineage, furthermore, any son or daughter of the lineage who is inclined to practice worldly virtue, they will see the Tathagata or the retinue of the Tathagata, then approach them and ask them: Blessed One, what is virtue? What is non-virtue? What kind of correct practice should be done to obtain pure conduct? When the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, and their retinue are asked in this way, they will think like this: Son of the lineage,

These noble sons and daughters are inclined to listen to the sacred Dharma and desire to be completely purified. I think it is appropriate to teach them the true Dharma. After hearing it, they should also pay attention to it properly. Through diligent thought and effort, they eliminate the obstacles of laziness and all sinful and unwholesome dharmas. They abide with great respect in all places of learning, eliminate mental sinking and excitement, and enter the first bhumi. Relying on the mind of the first bhumi, they abandon the obstacles to striving for the benefit of many sentient beings and enter the second bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obscurations of afflictions and enter the third bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obstacles to purifying the mind and enter the fourth bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obscurations of skillful means and enter the fifth bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obscurations of clinging to ultimate truth and conventional truth and enter the sixth bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obscurations of clinging to signs and actions and enter the seventh bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obscurations of not even clinging to the cessation of signs and enter the eighth bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obscurations of not even clinging to the arising of signs and enter the ninth bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obscurations of the six superknowledges and enter the tenth bhumi. From that bhumi, they abandon the obscurations of knowledge and the alaya-vijñana and enter the Tathagata bhumi. The Tathagata bhumi is called extremely completely pure because of the three completely pure aspects. What are the three? They are the complete purification of afflictions, the complete purification of suffering, and the complete purification of signs. Just as good gold is melted and hammered, removing impurities and dirt, and appears as gold that is completely pure in its nature, it is not that the essence of gold has completely disappeared. Similarly, when muddy water is clarified, the clear nature of the water itself becomes apparent, but it is not that the water itself has disappeared. In the same way, the Dharmakaya also abandons the accumulation of afflictions and various sufferings, completely eliminates habitual tendencies, and the completely pure nature of the Buddha appears, but it is not that the essence has disappeared.
