And the mind, and the Alaya-consciousness. By abiding in those who practice the path, the entering consciousness is practiced. By abiding in the path of cutting, the mind abiding in the Alaya is practiced. By abiding in the supreme victorious path, the Alaya-consciousness is practiced. If the entering consciousness is practiced, then the Nirmana-kaya will manifest. The Alaya, By practicing the mind abiding in it, the Sambhoga-kaya is shown. By practicing the Alaya-consciousness, the Dharma-kaya is attained. Thus, all the Tathagatas are called the spontaneous accomplishment of the three kayas. Son of lineage, the Nirmana-kaya of all Buddhas is in accordance with the conduct of all Buddhas. The Sambhoga-kaya is in accordance with the intention of all Buddhas. The Dharma-kaya is in accordance with the body of all Buddhas. Son of lineage, the Nirmana-kaya of the Buddha is called many because it shows various signs in many ways in accordance with the minds of individual beings. The Sambhoga-kaya is called one in nature because the minds of the retinue are the same and the nature is the same. The Dharma-kaya is completely beyond various signs and is not an object of perception to be grasped by signs. Therefore, it is neither one nor different. Son of lineage, the Nirmana-kaya appears manifestly in dependence on the Sambhoga-kaya. The Sambhoga-kaya appears manifestly in dependence on the Dharma-kaya. The Dharma-kaya is the ultimate truth and does not abide in anything. Son of lineage, these three kayas also have the aspect of being spoken of as permanent, and also have the aspect of being spoken of as impermanent. The Nirmana-kaya is called permanent because it constantly turns the wheel of Dharma in all ways, just as it is intended, through skillful means. It is called impermanent because it does not manifest the great and perfect deeds because it has not become the basis. The Sambhoga-kaya is called permanent because it has been continuous from beginningless time and completely holds and gathers the Dharma of all Buddhas without mixing them. Since sentient beings are inexhaustible, actions are also inexhaustible. It also has not become the basis of

Because it does not manifest perfect and vast activities, it is called impermanent. The Dharmakaya is not a conditioned dharma, it has no separate characteristics, it is the root and the basis, so it is permanent like the sky. Son of lineage, there is no more supreme wisdom of the noble ones apart from the non-discriminating wisdom. There is no more supreme realm of activity than the dharmata of suchness. That is the suchness of dharma, the suchness of wisdom, and the suchness of these two suchnesses is neither one nor different, therefore, the Dharmakaya is completely pure because of the complete purification of wisdom and the complete purification of abandonment and realization, the Dharmakaya is called completely pure and perfect. Son of lineage, furthermore, there are four kinds of distinctions among these three bodies: some are Nirmanakaya but not Sambhogakaya; some are Sambhogakaya but not Nirmanakaya; some are Nirmanakaya and also Sambhogakaya; some are neither Nirmanakaya nor Sambhogakaya. What is Nirmanakaya but not Sambhogakaya? Even though the Tathagatas have passed into Nirvana, they still benefit beings according to their capacity due to the power of their vows, this is called Nirmanakaya. What is Sambhogakaya but not Nirmanakaya? It is the form body of the bodhisattvas on the bhumis. What is Nirmanakaya and also Sambhogakaya? It is the body of Nirvana with remainder. What is neither Nirmanakaya nor Sambhogakaya? That is the Dharmakaya. Son of lineage, that Dharmakaya is the manifestation of non-dual dharma. What is non-dual? The Dharmakaya has neither characteristics nor the basis of characteristics, it is neither existent nor non-existent, neither one nor different, neither countable nor uncountable, neither light nor darkness. For such wisdom of suchness, one does not fixate on characteristics and the basis of characteristics, nor does one fixate on existence and non-existence, oneness and difference.

Also not fixated. Also not fixated on counting. Also not fixated on not counting. Also not fixated on light and darkness. Thus, the realm of activity is completely pure, and wisdom is completely pure, that is inseparable, uninterrupted, and is the basis of cessation and the path. Therefore, the Dharmakaya is the manifestation of various deeds of the Tathagata. Son of the lineage, this body is the cause and condition and realm of activity, and the place and fruit, all depend on the basis, which is inconceivable. If that meaning is realized, that body itself is the Mahayana. That itself is the nature of the Tathagata. It is the essence of the Tathagata. Relying on that body, the first arising of the mind, and the mind of completely purified ground will manifest, and the mind that does not turn back from the ground will also manifest, as well as the mind that abides in one lifetime, and the vajra-like samadhi, and the intention of the Tathagata will also manifest. All the immeasurable and countless sacred dharmas of the Tathagata will also manifest. Relying on the Dharmakaya, the inconceivable great samadhi will also manifest. Relying on this Dharmakaya, all great wisdom will also appear. Therefore, the two bodies arise from relying on samadhi and wisdom. This Dharmakaya is called permanent because it relies on its own nature. It is called self. Because it relies on great samadhi, it is called bliss. Because it relies on great wisdom, it is called purity. Therefore, the Tathagata constantly possesses bliss and purity, and abides in them. Relying on great samadhi, all samadhis such as the heroic-going samadhi, and all mindfulnesses such as the dharma mindfulness, as well as great love and great compassion, and all dharanis, and all superknowledges, and all powers, and all Buddha dharmas such as holding equality will manifest.
