用油脂的身体收集舍利，为了做供养而放在佛塔里。 具寿阿难陀，你要知道这正是那位菩萨的舍利。 又对具寿阿难陀说：我以前在具有贪欲、嗔恨、愚痴等烦恼的时候，也曾像对待有情地狱、饿鬼、畜生等五道轮回中的众生一样，如其因缘而完全救护，施加利益，使他们必定获得解脱。 现在我所有的烦恼都已灭尽，连习气也不存在了，成为了天人和人类的导师，具有一切智，为了每一个有情，即使在无数劫中，也会住在有情地狱和其他地方，忍受各种痛苦，使他们必定从生死和烦恼的轮回中获得解脱，更何况是现在呢？ 之后，世尊为了再次阐明那个意义，用偈颂说道： 我在过去的时候， 经历了无数无量的劫， 有时做地方的国王， 有时做王子的时候， 总是广行布施， 舍弃极其珍爱的身体， 从轮回中必定解脱， 祈愿到达殊胜的菩提。 过去在一个大地方， 有个地方的统治者名叫大车， 有个王子名叫勇士， 总是广行布施，没有悭吝。 他有两个哥哥， 名叫大声和大天， 三人一起外出， 逐渐到达山和森林。 看到饥饿所困的母老虎， 生起了这样的心念： 母老虎被饥饿的火焰燃烧， 没有其他可以吃的东西。 看到这样的大士， 因为担心它会吃掉孩子， 毫不吝惜地舍弃了自己的身体， 无可比拟地救护了孩子。 大地和山脉， 同时全部剧烈摇动。 河流和海洋极其汹涌， 巨浪滔天，水向上流。 天地失去了光明， 一片黑暗，什么也看不见。 森林和寂静处的野兽们， 飞奔逃窜，完全舍弃了住所。 两个哥哥想：为什么还不回来呢？

Having collected the relics with the body of fat, they were placed inside the stupa for the purpose of making offerings. Ananda, you should know that these are the relics of that Bodhisattva. Again, he said to the Venerable Ananda: Even when I was previously possessed by afflictions such as desire, hatred, and ignorance, I completely protected and benefited sentient beings in the five realms of existence, such as the hells, hungry ghosts, and animals, according to their circumstances, and ensured that they attained liberation. Now that all afflictions have been exhausted and there is no residue of habitual tendencies, having become the teacher of gods and humans and possessing omniscience, for the sake of each sentient being, even for many eons, I will dwell in the hells and other places, enduring various sufferings, and ensure that they attain liberation from the cycle of birth, death, and afflictions, what need is there to mention it? Then, the Bhagavan, in order to further explain that meaning, spoke in verses: When I was in the past, Through countless immeasurable eons, Sometimes I was the king of a country, Sometimes when I was a prince, I always gave great generosity, Having given up the body that was so cherished, I will surely be liberated from samsara, I pray to reach the supreme enlightenment. In a great country in the past, There was a ruler of the country named Great Chariot, There was a prince named Hero, Always generous in giving, without stinginess. He had two elder brothers, Named Great Sound and Great God, The three of them went out together, Gradually reaching the mountains and forests. Seeing the tigress threatened by hunger, Such a thought arose: The tigress is burned by the fire of hunger, There is nothing else to eat. Seeing such a great being, Because of the fear that it would eat the children, He gave up his body without attachment, He protected the children beyond compare. The great earth and the mountains, At the same time, all shook violently. The rivers and oceans were extremely turbulent, The violent waves rose high, and the water flowed upwards. The light of heaven and earth was lost, It was so dark that nothing could be seen. The wild animals in the forests and solitary places, Flew and ran away, completely abandoning their dwellings. The two elder brothers thought: Why haven't they returned?

Born from the suffering of sorrowful love. Many servants and attendants searched everywhere in the forest. The two brothers went together, entering the steep forest, looking in all directions but seeing nothing. In the empty forest where the tigress was seen, the mother and seven children were all smeared with blood, the remains of bones and hair were scattered on the ground. Also, the dripping blood stained all the gardens of light. When the two brothers saw this, great fear arose in their hearts. Both fainted and fell to the ground. Because of confusion and bewilderment, they could not remember anything, and dust covered their whole bodies. The six consciousnesses lost their memory. The prince and the many servants cried out, and sorrow arose in their hearts. After regaining consciousness by being sprinkled with water, they raised their hands and cried loudly. When the Bodhisattva gave up his body, the loving mother was in the palace, enjoying happiness with five hundred women, the noble queen's breasts, her own milk flowed out, as if her whole body was pierced by needles, very painful and extremely uncomfortable. Because the thought of losing her child arose, the sting of sorrow pierced her heart. When the great king knew this, he told of those painful things. Unable to bear the cries and reproaches, she said to the king in a loving voice: Great king, please know. Today I have great suffering. The breasts naturally flow with milk, and even if I try to stop it, it does not succeed as I wish. As if my whole body was pierced by needles, sorrow fills my chest.
