At the time of the mother, if in a village, or a city, or a town, or a king's palace, or a monastery, or a mountain, or a cave, or a forest, wherever this King of Sutras is propagated, Blessed One, I will be there, making offerings and showing respect, and completely protecting and completely saving, thereby widely propagating it. In any place whatsoever, if a high throne is erected for the sake of a Dharma-speaking master, and this Sutra is taught, I will, by the power of miraculous transformation, make my body invisible and go there, and with my head I will lift up his feet. Having heard the Dharma, I will also rejoice greatly with an extremely pure mind. Because of the power of obtaining the taste of Dharma, splendor will increase, thereby obtaining immeasurable satisfaction. Because I myself have obtained such benefits, even up to eighty thousand yojanas reaching the Vajra Mandala, I will cause all the essence of this earth to increase greatly. All the great bodies of water, including the four great oceans, will, because the essence of the earth increases and is extremely fertile, be superior and more excellent than before. All these beings will experience happiness. Thus, having experienced happiness in body and mind, they will generate great respect for this King of Sutras, wherever they may dwell. I pray that all will embrace it, offer to it, honor it, regard it as their teacher, and praise it. Furthermore, those great Dharma teachers also reside in the places where they teach the Dharma. I beseech them to expound this sacred King of Sutras for the benefit of all sentient beings. Why is that? Because, Blessed One, by virtue of expounding this sutra, all of us, including our retinues, will benefit, and we will possess light, color, power, courage, and glory, and our appearance will be exceedingly beautiful and far more excellent than before. Blessed One, I, the earth goddess Firmness, also, being satisfied with the taste of the Dharma, will cause all the land within seven thousand yojanas of Jambudvipa to be filled with essence, and, as before, will cause all sentient beings to experience happiness. Therefore, Blessed One, at that time those sentient beings will also, in order to repay my kindness, think: Let us not offend her, but listen to this sutra, honor her, serve her, offer to her, regard her as our teacher, and praise her. Having thought thus, they will also come forth from their dwellings to the towns, cities, villages, houses, and monasteries where the Dharma is taught, and bow their heads to the Dharma teacher and listen to this sutra. Having listened to this sutra, they will also return to their respective dwellings, generating a mind of great joy, saying thus: Today we have heard such profound and unsurpassed excellent Dharma, and this has accumulated an inconceivable mass of merit. And it will be said that he will be born in the heavens and in the human realm, experiencing supreme bliss. Even just reciting the name of this sutra, O Bhagavan, all those places where those beings dwell will be full of essence and will be more excellent than other places, and all things that grow from the great earth will also greatly increase and prosper, so beings will experience extremely happy enjoyment. Jewels and wealth will increase, almsgiving will be done well, the mind will always be steadfast, and there will be great faith in the Three Jewels. After thus reporting, the Bhagavan spoke to the earth goddess Firmness, saying: Whichever sentient being, if he hears even just one word from this King of Sutras, the Supreme Golden Light, then after death, he will be reborn in the Trayastrimsa heaven and other heavens. Whichever sentient being, if for the sake of offering to this King of Sutras, he exquisitely decorates houses, or hangs a banner, or just hangs a flagpole, then by that cause and condition, he will be reborn as he thinks in the six desire realms, and will freely enjoy the supreme immeasurable palaces made of the seven jewels. Each one will play together with seven thousand goddesses, day and night constantly enjoying inconceivable excellent bliss. After thus speaking, the earth goddess Firmness reported to the Bhagavan, saying: O Bhagavan, by this cause and condition, whichever of the fourfold assembly comes to the Dharma seat, also
