I enjoy the increase of precious wealth, therefore, there is no mutual plundering, but rather enjoying the fruits that ripen as the result of previous causes. Not generating evil thoughts, not seeking after other's lands out of greed. All are content and have few desires, and the mind of benefiting others arises. Suffering such as fighting, arguing, and bondage will also cease to exist. The people in those places will also naturally experience happiness. Superiors and inferiors are harmonious, like the mixing of water and milk, with hearts loving and respecting each other, playing and rejoicing with great joy. Benefiting others with loving-kindness and compassion, causing the roots of virtue to grow, therefore, due to these causes and conditions, this Jambudvipa will be extremely peaceful and prosperous, with abundant harvests, and the people will flourish and be extremely wealthy. The great earth will be full of power, the temperature will be moderate, and the seasons will not be discordant. The sun, moon, planets, and stars will also not move or change from their original positions. The wind and rain will also rise and fall in due season. Separated from inauspicious omens, wealth and jewels will be abundant and increase. There will be no miserly stinginess in the heart, and giving will always be practiced. Possessing the path of the ten virtuous actions. Even when people pass away, most will be reborn in the heavens, therefore, the retinues of the gods will greatly increase. These things should be known. Great kings, in the future, whichever human king listens to and protects this sutra, respectfully makes offerings, regards the fourfold assembly who uphold this sutra as teachers and praises them, and also wishes to benefit you and your retinue and the immeasurable hundreds of thousands of yaksha retinues, and to benefit them with happiness, therefore, that king should always listen to and uphold this supreme king of sutras, and by the power of hearing this true and authentic Dharma, the supreme nectar-like taste, may the strength and power of your bodies and minds increase, therefore, be diligent and brave, with merit and splendor.

will be greatly enhanced. If those human kings listen to and fully uphold this sutra with one mind, it will be as if they are offering to the perfectly complete Buddha Shakyamuni with vast, extensive, and extremely rare offerings. Whoever makes offerings to me is making offerings to the countless billions of Buddhas of the past, future, and present. Whoever makes offerings to the Buddhas of the three times will obtain an inconceivable and immeasurable accumulation of merit. Therefore, due to these causes and conditions, you and others should completely protect that king, queen, consorts, and retinue, ensuring they are free from harm and fear. If you can also ensure that the palace-protecting deities constantly experience the enjoyment of happiness, you will possess inconceivable merit. The people living in those lands will also experience various pleasures of the five desires, and all evil things will be completely pacified. Then, the Four Great Kings said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, in the future, if any human king desires to listen to this noble Golden Light Sutra, and to protect and save himself, his queen, his princes, and even the palace women within the palace, as well as the cities, towns, and the entire palace, and to obtain inconceivable supreme joy and extremely secluded bliss, and to have his kingdom stable, high, powerful, prosperous, and constantly growing in this very life, and also to accumulate an inconceivable, immeasurable, and boundless accumulation of merit, and to hope that his country is free from external enemies, sorrow, conflict, and demonic obstacles, then, Bhagavan, such a human king should not be distracted by ignorance, but should generate great reverence and listen to and fully uphold this supreme king of sutras from the depths of his heart. When listening to the Dharma, one should first

The supreme and sacred palace, cherished with affection, is thoroughly adorned. Fragrant water is sprinkled in bright places. Various supreme and sacred flowers are visibly scattered. A lion throne, an especially excellent Dharma seat, is erected. It is thoroughly adorned with various jewels. Umbrellas, victory banners, and flags of various jewels are raised. Priceless incense is burned, and various musical instruments are played. At that time, that king completely bathes purely, anoints his body with fragrant ointment, wears clean silk garments, and adorns himself with various ornaments and garlands. He goes to a low seat, does not generate thoughts of pride, and completely abandons the ways of power. Abandoning all arrogance, he focuses his mind, establishes mindfulness, and listens to this "King of Sutras." He generates the perception of the great teacher towards the Dharma-speaking master. He generates loving-kindness and affection towards the queens, princes, maids, and retinue within the palace, and they look at each other with great joy. He speaks gentle words with an extremely harmonious tone. He pervades his own body and mind with great joy. Thinking, "Today, I will obtain such inconceivable, especially excellent, vast, and extensive benefits," he makes great offerings to that "King of Sutras." Having thought in this way, if he sees that Dharma-speaking master, he generates the perception of rarity with extreme reverence. Then, the Bhagavan spoke to the four great kings: "Thus, do not fail to welcome that Dharma-speaking master." At that time, that human king wears clean silk garments, thoroughly adorns himself with various ornaments and garlands, holds a white umbrella, incense, and flowers himself, arranges the army, makes grand music, comes out of the city on foot, and, in order to obtain auspicious things, generates a respectful attitude and goes to welcome that Dharma-speaking master. O four great kings, for what reason and cause does that human king himself show respect and make offerings to
