Four Great Kings, you have paid homage, served, made offerings, and revered as gurus countless hundreds of thousands of billions of Buddhas of the past, and praised them, thereby accumulating roots of virtue, realizing the true Dharma, and constantly teaching the true Dharma. Thus, since the world is subdued by the Dharma, you have always benefited sentient beings for a long time, generated great compassion, and prayed to bestow happiness, therefore you are now enjoying the supreme fruition. If any human king respects and makes offerings to this Supreme Golden Light Most Victorious Sutra, you should diligently protect him and help him attain happiness. If you Four Great Kings, other retinues, and countless hundreds of thousands of immeasurable yakshas protect this sutra, then you will protect the true Dharma of the Buddhas of the past, future, and present, therefore you Four Great Kings, and other heavenly retinues, yakshas, when fighting with the asuras, will always obtain the benefit of victory. If we protect and uphold this sutra, the power of this sutra will pacify and eliminate many sufferings, external enemies, famine, diseases, and plagues. Therefore, if you see the fourfold assembly receiving, upholding, reading, and reciting this King of Sutras, you should protect them with great diligence, eliminate harm, and bestow happiness. Then the four great kings rose from their seats, draped their robes over one shoulder, knelt on their right knees, and respectfully joined their palms, saying to the Blessed One: Blessed One, in the future, wherever this King of Sutras, the Golden Light Most Victorious, is propagated and dwells, whether in a country, village, town, mountain, forest, or remote monastery, if the king of that place listens to, upholds, praises, and makes offerings to this sutra with one-pointed mind, and makes offerings to the fourfold assembly who uphold this sutra, protecting them with great joy, eliminating harm and unease, then, by this cause and condition, we kings and many people will be protected, abide in happiness, be far from sorrow and suffering, and increase in lifespan and glory. Blessed One, if the king of that place sees the fourfold assembly upholding this sutra, and respectfully protects them, offering them everything they need as if they were their parents, then we four great kings will constantly protect them, making many sentient beings respected by all. Therefore, we, along with countless yakshas and rakshasas, will hide our bodies and provide rescue and protection in the place where this King of Sutras is propagated, thereby being free from obstacles. We will also protect and remember those who listen to this sutra, and the king, etc., eliminating all harm and bringing happiness.

并且，也能够遣除来自其他方向的敌人们。如果某位人间的国王在听闻此经时，周围有敌人兴兵作乱，心想摧毁那些地方，那么，世尊啊，如此一来，凭借此经王的加持力，那时，那个周围的敌人会有其他的敌对势力出现并摧毁他。并且，在他的国土中会出现许多不祥之兆和瘟疫，那时，国王见到那种情况，兴兵前往那个地方并摧毁它的时候，我们也会在那时与无数无边的夜叉、罗刹眷属一起，各自隐藏自己的身体，完全守护并帮助他，因此，他自己就能降伏那个兴兵作乱的敌人，如果连前往那个国土的心都无法生起，那么互相之间用军队和武器战斗就更不用说了。然后，世尊对四大天王说道：四大天王，你们如此守护和保护此经，太好了，太好了。我在过去无数亿万劫前，历经各种苦行，才证得无上正等正觉，成为一切智者，并宣说了此法，因此，如果某位人间的国王 完全受持此经，并恭敬供养，那么，灾难将会平息，变得非常安乐。城镇、城市和乡村都将得到完全的守护。兴兵作乱的敌人们将会被遣除。属于赡部洲的所有国王，其灾难、争斗和争端都将彻底消失。四大天王，在这赡部洲上的城镇、城市、山和八万四千个乡村的八万四千个人间国王，也将各自在自己的国土中享受受用的安乐，并变得自由自在。财富啊

And, many inauspicious omens and plagues will occur in his country, at that time, when the king sees that kind of situation, raises troops and goes to that place and destroys it, we will also at that time, together with countless and boundless Yaksha and Rakshasa retinues, each hide our own bodies, completely protect and help him, therefore, he himself will be able to subdue that enemy who is raising troops and making trouble, if even the thought of going to that country cannot arise, then fighting each other with armies and weapons is even more unnecessary to mention. Then, the Bhagavan said to the Four Great Kings: Four Great Kings, it is excellent, excellent that you thus guard and protect this sutra. In the past, countless billions of kalpas ago, I underwent various ascetic practices and attained the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment, became the All-Knowing One, and proclaimed this Dharma, therefore, if a certain human king fully upholds this sutra and makes offerings with respect, then, disasters will be pacified and become very peaceful.
