Thus it became. Son of lineage, from this Saha world to the east, passing through hundreds of thousands of Buddha fields like the sands of the Ganges River, there is a world called Jewel Adornment. There resides the Tathagata named Jewel King Great Light Illuminating, who now dwells there, and through complete Nirvana, teaches the supreme Dharma, benefiting beings. The Buddha you see is that one. Son or daughter of lineage, if anyone hears the name of that Tathagata Jewel King Great Light Illuminating, they will not regress from the stage of a Bodhisattva and will attain Great Nirvana. Any woman who hears the name of that Tathagata, at the time of death, that Tathagata will come before her. By the power of seeing the Tathagata, she will never again take a female body. Son of lineage, this supreme Golden Light Sutra greatly benefits beings in various ways, increases the roots of virtue of Bodhisattvas in various ways, and completely purifies karmic obscurations. Son of lineage, whether it be a Bhikshu, Bhikshuni, Upasaka, or Upasika, whoever dwells in a place, if in that place they truly teach this supreme Golden Light Sutra to others, then that place will obtain four kinds of meritorious benefits. What are the four? The king of that place will be free from illness and harm, long-lived and unobstructed, without external enemies, the army will be brave, happiness and prosperity will increase, and the true Dharma will also increase. Why is that? Because in this way, the human king will always be protected by Indra, Brahma, the Four Great Kings, and the retinue of Yakshas. The retinues unanimously requested the Bhagavan, saying: "Yes, it is so. Yes, it is so. In whatever place this excellent King of Sutras is truly explained, read, and recited, we, the Four Great Kings and others, will always go to protect those rulers of the land, and we will dwell together in the place where they dwell. If that king has any demons, obstacles, or hostile enemies, we, the Four Great Kings and others, will completely pacify them. We will also eliminate sorrow and epidemics, and make them recover, thereby increasing life, causing auspicious signs to appear, fulfilling wishes as desired, and constantly bringing joy. We will make all the armies in that land brave and diligent." The Bhagavan said: "Noble sons, well done, well done! You should accomplish what you have said. Why? Because when those rulers of the land act according to the Dharma, all the people will also emulate the king and act according to the Dharma, so you and others will also obtain excellent form, strength, and benefits, the immeasurable palace will be filled with light, and the retinues will become diligent and prosperous." Then, Indra and Brahma and others requested the Bhagavan, saying: "Bhagavan, it is so." The Bhagavan said: "In whatever place this excellent Sutra is truly taught, read, and propagated, the great ministers and inner ministers of that land will obtain four benefits. What are the four? The first is to be mutually harmonious and close, to regard each other as teachers and to love each other. The second is to be constantly loved and respected by the human king, and to be respected by ascetics, Brahmins, and the people of great and small countries. The third is to cherish wealth, respect the Dharma, not seek worldly benefits, have a good reputation spread everywhere, and be respected by many. The fourth is longevity."

将会变得幸福快乐，这些被称为四种利益。如果某个地方的统治者正确地宣讲这部经，那么沙门和婆罗门将会获得四种殊胜的利益。哪四种呢？第一种是不会缺乏衣服、食物、饮料、卧具和医药。第二种是所有人都心怀喜悦，思考、阅读和背诵。第三种是居住在山林中时，能够获得安乐的住所。第四种是心中所愿皆能圆满实现。这些被称为殊胜的四种利益。如果在某个地方正确地宣讲这部经，那么所有的人都会兴旺发达，远离瘟疫，商人和旅客往来都能获得大量的财富和珍宝，并且能够获得殊胜的福德。这些被称为功德的各种利益。然后，梵天、帝释天、四大天王和众多的眷属向世尊禀告说：世尊，如果这样深奥的经典能够显现存在，那么如来的三十七道品也将住世不灭。如果这样的经典消失，那么正法也将随之消失。世尊开示说：善男子，正是这样，正是这样。因此，你们应当从这部《金光明经》中，哪怕只是一句或一段，都要一心一意地正确读诵，正确背诵，正确听闻，正确受持，正确忆念和正确修习，为了众多有情众生而广为宣说和传播，这样将会长久地带来安乐，并且获得无量的福德利益。之后，众多的眷属听闻世尊如此开示，都对殊胜的利益

will become happy and joyful, these are called the four benefits. If a ruler of a certain place correctly preaches this sutra, then ascetics and Brahmins will obtain four special benefits. What are the four? The first is that there will be no lack of clothing, food, drink, bedding, and medicine. The second is that everyone will be joyful in their hearts, thinking, reading, and reciting. The third is that when dwelling in mountains and forests, they will be able to obtain a comfortable dwelling. The fourth is that all their heart's desires will be completely fulfilled. These are called the four special benefits. If this sutra is correctly preached in a certain place, then all people will prosper and be happy, be free from epidemics, merchants and travelers will be able to obtain a great deal of wealth and jewels, and they will be able to obtain special merit. These are called the various benefits of merit. Then, Brahma, Indra, the Four Great Kings, and many attendants said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, if such a profound sutra can manifest and exist, then the thirty-seven wings of enlightenment of the Tathagata will also abide in the world and not perish. When such a sutra as this perishes, then the true Dharma will also be known to perish. The Blessed One said: Son of good family, it is so, it is so. Therefore, you should, from this Sutra of Golden Light, even if it is only one sentence or one section, all read it correctly with one mind, recite it correctly, listen to it correctly, hold it correctly, remember it correctly, and practice it correctly, and widely explain and propagate it for the sake of many sentient beings, so that it will bring happiness for a long time and obtain immeasurable benefits of merit.
