abiding, not hating the great Bodhisattva, of great lineage and high birth, practicing Dharma by nature, having fasted for one day, wearing clean clothes, fragrant hair, bathing at the three times, on that day, perfumed with the fragrance of camphor, saffron, sandalwood, and cloves. Always making close contact, sitting on a Kusha grass mat, performing the protective ritual, practicing celibacy, possessing truth, and outside the mandala that transcends time limits, placing it neither too close nor too far. Those who are extremely pure and possess purity, from one to eight, and none other than those, those also being mutually close. Kings, kings who have been crowned from the crown of their heads, young princes or princesses of those great kings, who do not know the customs of the village. What is the reason for that? Bhagavan, the Bodhisattva Manjushri in the form of a youth, delights children, delights in the play of youth, therefore, first of all, a youth should be brought inside. Great kings visibly increase, life and health visibly increase, power and great fortune visibly increase. Especially for children, it is certain that accomplishment is established by mantra accomplishment. After those have been placed beforehand, with a friend who is cautious and good, the mandala master fumigates with camphor, not turning his back, but causing him to appear outside, and after appearing, with water that is well purified and in accordance with the season, water that is free of living beings, reciting the root mantra one hundred and eight times, bathing with water that has been sealed with the great seal of the five chignons, and then making close contact, wearing clean clothes, going with purity to the side of the fire pit, sitting on a Kusha grass mat, looking towards the northeast, making offerings of ghee, mixing camphor, saffron, and sandalwood, doing it one thousand and eight times. Inviting and sending away with the previously described ritual, and then bringing them into the mandala again.
