By the power of the Bodhisattva, At that time, what is to be accomplished can be accomplished. For all the wicked who should be tamed, The vase and other hand seals are spoken of. Hands are placed in the same way, Making it like the Pataha drum, All the fingers are joined together, All the fingers are also crossed in order, The thumbs are also done in order, Then put into the hand. The middle finger and index finger, Should both be erected upwards. This is called Pataha, It is the hand seal that averts inauspiciousness. Hands are made in the same way, All the fingers are well joined together, Beautiful like a ring, The two index fingers are bent inwards, The two thumbs are placed at the bottom, The two thumbs are also pressed down.
