To enter into that. At that time, for sentient beings, it is to teach skillful means. For sentient beings deluded by craving, and those disturbed by desire and hatred, in order to reach the end of existence, this is the path taught to them. For those bound by the bonds of craving, for the sake of virtue or the cause of virtuous deeds, accomplishment and performance, as well as such substances, I have taught mantras and tantras. Here, for those who repeat accomplishments, is the great sovereign of rituals. For the purpose of taming sentient beings, the guides of the world speak thus. Shakya Simha, the best of men, the supreme Sage, having spoken thus, in that final age, he taught the meaningfulness of accomplishment, and the power of mantras and tantras, and taught possessing great diligence. At that time, in the pure assembly of gods, what the Victorious One spoke was the great king of rituals, for the benefit of all the world. For what Manjushri taught, I have taught that friend. From the Sutra of the Great Vehicle, the Extensive Sutra of the Noble Manjushri's Root Ritual Bodhisattva Pitaka, in the chapter on the activities of rituals, the Extremely Extensive Chapter on the Rituals of Manjushri, the twenty-second chapter is complete. Then, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha, again gazing at the immeasurable palace of the pure abode, spoke to Manjushri, who had become a youth: Manjushri, in the chapter on your activities of rituals, there is the seventh ritual of painted images, whoever practices it in that final age, for him it will accomplish meaning, together with the fruit, happiness will arise, it will mature in happiness, it will be experienced in this very life, it will avert all evil destinies, and it will surely lead to enlightenment and be accomplished. Then, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha spoke the essence of Manjushri, who had become a youth, which is the six-syllable mantra, whose nature is inconceivable, liberating from the six realms, unequal, incomparable, possessing great miraculous powers, liberating from all the oceans of existence and the suffering of the three sufferings, difficult to endure by all beings, unpolluted by all the worlds, unconquerable by all beings, purifying all the deeds of craving, and attaining the dharmas of the Buddhas.

It causes the pacification of all inauspiciousness, it causes the reversal of all ferocity, it is rejoiced by all Buddhas, it accomplishes all perfections. If asked, what is the most supreme of all mantras in the teachings of Manjushri? Om, Speech, Give, Homage). The modification of this ritual is as follows: Subsisting on chaff, or a handful of barley flour, or on begged food, bathing at the three times, changing clothes three times, reciting a hundred thousand times, then it becomes as if one has previously approached. On a cloth whose tip has not been cut off, by a painter who has observed purification, with unmixed colors, draw the noble Manjushri teaching the Dharma and seated on a lotus seat, adorned with all ornaments, appearing as a youthful form, with the upper garment draped over the shoulder. On the left, draw the noble Avalokiteshvara holding a lotus in his hand; on the right, the noble Samantabhadra. Above, draw two vidyadharas holding rosaries, appearing from within the clouds. Below, draw the practitioner holding an incense burner in his hand. Around the perimeter, below the mountaintops, draw a lotus lake. Place the stupa containing relics and the thangka facing west, arrange them well, make extensive offerings, light butter lamps, and recite over each and every NAMA flower, scattering a thousand and eight flowers towards the face of Manjushri. After that, one will hear the sound of the profoundly deep syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), or the thangka will shake violently. The sound of the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) will make one a king who has power over all the earth. The shaking of the thangka will make one able to answer all debaters and know all worldly scriptures. Even if one has not achieved accomplishment, one will become capable and endowed with power in all activities. This is the first ritual. Cut agarwood sticks to a length of two and a half fingers, soak them in Turushka broth, wrap them with fine hara thread, and perform a fire offering on smokeless sandalwood at midnight, then at the break of dawn, the noble Manjushri will be seen, and he will grant the best of what is desired, except for the ability to do as one pleases. In front of that very thangka, burn sandalwood incense continuously, fumigating it at midnight, and if one recites, then after that, the noble Manjushri
