Do not let it become its power. The Blessed One said: Friends, I admonish you again and again with words, be mindful! Later, when sentient beings are tormented in hell, they will regret it. Then, the Blessed One then spoke these verses: I have shown many kings of the sutras, and have placed many sentient beings in Bodhi. I have also shown the way to Buddhahood. After hearing this, be mindful! When you are utterly destroyed in the future, you will fall into evil paths. Whoever always believes in this sutra, that is certainly my son. Whoever always makes offerings to this sutra, that will certainly be born in the Buddha-field. Wherever this king of sutras is located, there, ghosts, yakshas, rakshasas, and hungry ghosts, pot-bellied ghosts, large-bellied wandering ghosts, as well as executioners and cursers, cannot fully invade. That will certainly fulfill all wishes, and that will peacefully attain Bodhi. At that time, the Four Great Kings, after hearing these verses, shed tears due to the power of the Dharma, and with trembling bodies, prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One, and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, we, the Four Great Kings, will make offerings to the Dharma speaker, and will also protect the Dharma listeners. We feel uneasy. Then, the Blessed One gave the word "Good!" to those four great kings, Great Kings, good, good! Great Kings, may you be well and always do so! Then, the great lord of the Gandharvas, Dhṛtarāṣṭra, touched the feet of the Blessed One and said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, in the future, in the future time, beings who practice non-virtue, and those who do not have faith in the Tathāgata and do not understand, will also appear, and those people will not uphold such a category of Dharma, will not recite it, will not write it down, will not give alms, will not believe in the ripening of the fruits of alms, and will only look to the happiness of this world. For the sake of those beings, this great king of sutras, which is like the Tathāgata, was spoken. The Blessed One said: Son of good family, there are two dharmas that cause beings to fall into hell, what are the two? Namely, attachment and hatred. Son of good family, these two dharmas cause beings to fall into hell. Son of good family, these four dharmas cause beings to go to happy migrations, what are the four? Namely, like this: having equanimity towards all beings, having completely pure thoughts, completely giving up all possessions, and abiding in pure conduct. Then, at that time, the Blessed One spoke these verses: Great King, this giving has great miraculous power, it completely liberates from all bad migrations and bad destinies. Foolish beings are always attached to desires, and are intoxicated by hundreds of various attachments. They do not have faith in this sutra, and do not give alms to the Buddha's teachings. Such beings will be in bad destinies, and after being born, they will also experience feelings. For the benefit of those beings, this sutra with great power has been thoroughly taught. Whoever always has faith in this sutra, he has no killer, no evildoer, no pot-bellied ghost, no great belly-walker, the king has no sin against him. 凡是受持此（经）的福德，诸佛智慧所赞叹的，一切有情众生多劫也说不尽。凡是恒时忆念、供养诸佛菩萨的那些人，以及其他有些人，从此经中，哪怕书写一个字，其所获福德，前者连百分之一、千分之一也赶不上。此后，圣观自在菩萨摩诃萨对薄伽梵（世尊）如是禀告道：世尊，善男子或善女子，若对这部法门生起信心，以鲜花、熏香、香、花鬘、涂香、伞、幢幡等进行供养，以及对说法者、提问者、受持者以大供养来供养，那么他们在此生就能获得许多功德和利益。他们的身体不会受到眼病、耳病、鼻病、舌病、时疫、毒、武器和火的侵害。他们会得到父母的欢喜、子女和妻子的欢喜，以及家庭的安乐。在一切战争中也会获胜。临终时，不动如来会以正直的方式为他们呼气，说道：喂，你过来！去往安乐世界吧！大士你具有燃烧的善根，将转生到你所希望的任何地方。说完之后，圣观自在菩萨又对薄伽梵禀告道：世尊，说得好啊，说得好啊！如来将此安立于赡部洲，乃是行如来之事业。世尊，此大明咒能使一切业完全清净。世尊开示道：善男子，此（明咒）不会在福德浅薄的众生之处行用。福德浅薄的众生不会听闻，也不会得到。谁因佛的加持而得到它呢？如来听闻

Whatever merit there is in upholding this (sutra), praised by the wisdom of the Buddhas, all sentient beings cannot express it even in many kalpas. Those who constantly remember and make offerings to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and some others, if they write even a single letter from this sutra, the former cannot match even one hundredth or one thousandth of the merit they obtain. Then, the noble Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, any son or daughter of good family who has faith in this Dharma teaching, and offers flowers, incense, perfume, garlands, ointments, umbrellas, banners, and streamers, and makes great offerings to those who preach the Dharma, those who ask questions, and those who uphold it, will gain many merits and benefits in this very life. Their bodies will not be harmed by eye diseases, ear diseases, nose diseases, tongue diseases, epidemics, poisons, weapons, or fire. They will have the joy of their parents, the joy of their children and wives, and the peace of their families. They will also be victorious in all battles. At the time of death, the Tathagata Akshobhya will exhale properly for them, saying: Hey, you, come here! Go to the world of bliss! Great being, you have burning roots of virtue, and you will be born in any place you desire.
