The accomplished yogi with the appearance of a precious jewel, having attained enlightenment, perfectly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, complete, and perfect enlightenment, and by the power of previous aspirations, remained under the Bodhi tree. Seeing sentient beings obscured by desire, hatred, and ignorance, their bodies tormented by various diseases, harmed by death, enemies, and evil spirits, and sentient beings with lifespans enduring for eons falling into hell, seeing these sentient beings, for the benefit of these sentient beings, for the joy of the Buddhas' enlightenment, and in order to completely exhaust all karmic obscurations, he spoke these roots of dharanis and mantras. When the Bhagavan spoke this dharani mantra, all the assembled Bodhisattva retinue, as well as Indra, Brahma, and all the world protectors, said to the Bhagavan, "Excellent!" Bhagavan, you have spoken such words of dharani mantras for the sake of loving all sentient beings, for eliminating all sins, for completely pacifying all diseases, and for fulfilling all wishes. Excellent, excellent! The Bhagavan declared: Friends, whether it be a son of good family, or a daughter of good family, whether it be a king, or a prince, whether it be a male lay practitioner, or a female lay practitioner, anyone who seeks merit, if they hold, recite, fully understand, and have faith in these words of the dharani, and three times during the day and three times during the night cultivate a mind of compassion for all sentient beings, make pure offerings with flowers, incense, perfume, and lamps, and practice the Noble Eightfold Path, then all their sins, including the five heinous crimes, will be completely purified. Having passed away from there, they will be born in that world, and will be miraculously born in the center of a lotus, on a lion throne. All diseases will be completely pacified. Death, enemies, and all harm to monasteries will be completely pacified. At the time of death, the Tathagata will also remember them, and all hopes and thoughts will be completely fulfilled. Manjushri, to the east, beyond worlds as numerous as the sands of seven Ganges rivers, there is a world called the Sorrowless World. There, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named Sorrowless Supreme Auspicious One, resides, lives, exists, and also teaches the Dharma. Manjushri, the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, the Buddha-field of the Sorrowless Supreme Auspicious One is as flat as the palm of the hand, square, vast, without the sound of sorrow, lower realms, and suffering, without the substance of women, the ground is smooth and very soft, perfumed with divine incense, adorned with trees of divine jewels, the golden ponds of the heavenly Jambu River are filled with fragrant water, possessing trees of seven precious jewels, flowers, and fruits, possessing the sound of heavenly music and the sound of cymbals. Manjushri, just as the Buddha-field of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, Amitabha, is the world of Sukhavati, so too, Manjushri, the qualities and array of the Buddha-field of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, Sorrowless Supreme Auspicious One, are similar to that. Manjushri, the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, Sorrowless Supreme Auspicious One, in the past, when practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, made four great aspirations. What are the four? His first great aspiration is, when I attain unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment in the future, then, whatever sentient beings have sorrow, suffering, discomfort, much turmoil, and experience various kinds of suffering, whatever sentient beings hear my name.

听闻之后也作意于这些，愿以我的威力，使忧伤、痛苦、不适和纷乱全部得以平息！愿任何人都不再遭受与所爱分离的痛苦！愿他们长寿！如是祈愿。他的第二个大愿是：当我在未来证得无上圆满正等觉时，那些造作种种罪恶不善业的众生，投生于大苦无间地狱、黑暗无光之处，愿以我的威力，从我的身体发出这样的光芒，当它触及并照见那些地狱众生时，所有罪业得以清净，并从那些大苦地狱的痛苦中完全解脱！愿所有痛苦的感受都得以止息！直至证得无上圆满正等觉，愿他们享受天人的安乐！如是祈愿。他的第三个大愿是：当我在未来证得无上圆满正等觉时，那些往昔造作罪恶不善业，因掠夺他人财物而投生于贫穷低贱之家，没有衣服、食物、饮料、卧具和装饰，遭受寒冷和炎热的痛苦，因饥渴而身体消瘦、面容丑陋的众生，听到并念诵我的名字，直至证得无上圆满正等觉，愿他们能充分享用衣服、食物、饮料和卧具等一切所需！愿他们的身体装饰着天人的肤色！如是祈愿。他的第四个大愿是：当我在未来证得无上圆满正等觉时，那些被夜叉、罗刹、鬼怪和食肉者所折磨，精气被夺，遭受各种疾病痛苦的众生，听到我的名字，愿以我的威力，证得无上圆满正等觉。

Having heard and contemplated on these, may all sorrow, suffering, discomfort, and turmoil be completely pacified by my power! May no one experience the suffering of separation from loved ones! May they live long lives! Thus, he prayed. His third great aspiration is: When I attain the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment in the future, may those sentient beings who in the past committed sins and non-virtuous deeds, and due to stealing others' possessions, are born into poor and lowly families, lacking clothes, food, drink, bedding, and ornaments, experiencing the suffering of cold and heat, their bodies emaciated by hunger and thirst, and with ugly faces, upon hearing and reciting my name, until attaining the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, may they fully enjoy all necessities such as clothes, food, drink, and bedding! May their bodies be adorned with the complexion of gods! Thus, he prayed. His fourth great aspiration is: When I attain the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment in the future, may those sentient beings who are tormented by yakshas, rakshasas, spirits, and flesh-eaters, their vitality stolen, and suffering from various diseases, upon hearing my name, may they, by my power, attain the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment.
