May all sentient beings be satisfied, may they rejoice greatly, and may they be established in the Bodhi of the Buddha. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the Dharma Prince Manjushri, arose from his seat, bared one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One and said to him: "Blessed One, gods, nagas, yakshas, rakshasas, gandharvas, kinnaras, mahoragas, renunciates, brahmins, kings, ministers, householders, humans, and many non-humans have gathered here to listen to the Dharma. Therefore, Blessed One, please consider them with compassion. If they hear, may all sentient beings become irreversible from the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, may all sins and karmic obscurations be completely purified and eliminated, and may they not be disturbed by the evil Mara. Please explain the names of those Tathagatas, the extensive distinctions of their past aspirations, and the qualities of the Buddha-fields. Blessed One, the Tathagatas have nothing unseen, unheard, or unknown. Even after hundreds of thousands of billions of kalpas, as many as the fine dust particles in the sands of the Ganges River, they are aware as if it were today or tomorrow. If one speaks of the first thought of enlightenment of those Tathagatas, their past aspirations, and the qualities of the Buddha-fields focused on those Tathagatas, and practices by teaching them correctly, then, Blessed One, in the future, in the last five hundred years of the degenerate age when the holy Dharma is imitated, for the sake of embracing all sentient beings, please explain the many skillful means of the Tathagatas and the extensive distinctions of their past aspirations." Then, the Blessed One, the Tathagata, with the voice and melody of a kalavinka bird, praised the youthful Manjushri, saying, "Well done! Well done! Manjushri, you are endowed with compassion!

Having generated immeasurable compassion, it is excellent to pray for the benefit, happiness, and well-being of all sentient beings, for sentient beings obscured by various karmic obscurations, whose bodies are tormented by various diseases, and who are afflicted by various sorrows and sufferings, as well as for gods and humans. Manjushri, this courage of yours has arisen through the blessings of the Tathagata. Manjushri, therefore listen well and carefully, keep it in mind, and I will speak. Manjushri, the youth, replied to the Blessed One, saying, "So it is, Blessed One." Then he listened to the Blessed One's teachings. The Blessed One then spoke to him, saying: Manjushri, to the east, beyond as many Buddha-fields as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River from this Buddha-field, there is a world called "Inaccessible to Others." There resides the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha, named "King of Auspicious Glory Well-Proclaimed with Good Name," attended by countless hundreds of thousands of millions of bodhisattvas who kneel with long shanks. They dwell there, living and receiving offerings, and also teaching the Dharma. Manjushri, that Buddha-field of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha, named "King of Auspicious Glory Well-Proclaimed with Good Name," is exceedingly pure. Its circumference is many hundreds of thousands of yojanas, as flat as the palm of a hand, without the sounds of evil destinies and suffering, without women, without thorns and precipices, without mountains, stones, rubble, and gravel, smooth, the surface of the earth comfortable to the touch, endowed with the fragrance of the gods, adorned with trees of heavenly jewels, flowers, and fruits, well-decorated with jewel lion thrones, a place for pure, non-regressing bodhisattvas, adorned with ponds decorated with gold from the Jambu River, jewels, and pearls. Manjushri, all the bodhisattvas who dwell in that world are born miraculously, all arising from lotuses of the seven precious substances. Therefore, sons or daughters of good family, with faith, may you obtain the aspiration to be born in that Buddha-field. Manjushri
