If one rubs wood, a powerful fire will arise from the effort of man. Similarly, when these three come together, great mantras (གསང་སྔགས,mantra,曼怛罗,secret mantra) and five mudras (ཕྱག་རྒྱ,mudrā,穆德拉,gesture) will arise. Once they have arisen, whatever one thinks in their mind will be accomplished. Manjushri, for example, as soon as those who hold vidya-mantras think of it, all things such as the food of the gods, drinks, ornaments, horses, elephants, chariots, women, houses, and palaces will immediately appear. Manjushri, similarly, everything arises from the coming together of mantras (གསང་སྔགས,mantra,曼怛罗,secret mantra), mudras (ཕྱག་རྒྱ,mudrā,穆德拉,gesture), and deities. Manjushri, it is like this: for example, if a wish-fulfilling jewel is without all faults and has not disappeared, then at that time everything that is thought of will arise. Manjushri, similarly, one should also understand the way of mantras. Manjushri, when one has completely abandoned one's own form and has attained the pride of the deity without doubt, then the dharmata of the mantra (གསང་སྔགས,mantra,曼怛罗,secret mantra) will show the dharmata, and at that time, when he shows its form with words, he will be able to accomplish the task. Manjushri, look at how the dependent dharmata is able to function. Manjushri, it is like this: for example, relying on a seal, the embossment of the seal will arise. If there is no substance, the embossment of the seal will not arise, and even if there is, if it is separated from action and activity, the embossment of the seal will not arise. Manjushri, both are mutually dependent. After people have made effort, will substance arise here, or will the activity of action arise? Whatever it is, because of the contradiction between before and after, there is no arising except for the arising of mantras (གསང་སྔགས,mantra,曼怛罗,secret mantra) or mudras (ཕྱག་རྒྱ,mudrā,穆德拉,gesture) based on dependence. Manjushri, as many afflictions as sentient beings have, so many combinations that other Bodhisattvas cannot overcome should also be seen. Who is able to conquer this? The dharmadhatu endowed with mudras (ཕྱག་རྒྱ,mudrā,穆德拉,gesture) and mantras (གསང་སྔགས,mantra,曼怛罗,secret mantra) is able to conquer. Manjushri, because the dharmadhatu itself is classified in many ways, the Tathagatas and Bodhisattvas have designated this as mantra (གསང་སྔགས,mantra,曼怛罗,secret mantra), this as mudra (ཕྱག་རྒྱ,mudrā,穆德拉,gesture), and this as deity. The dharmadhatu is not something that can be pointed out because it is without form.

Is, not grasped, not disturbed. The Tathagata establishes dependent arising, hence it is established. Because of dependent arising, all actions are performed. Manjushri, what is said about how others enjoy what others have done? Manjushri, for example, a son of the gods who has power over his own mind can enjoy various enjoyments as he wishes. That is, palaces and immeasurable mansions of the gods, horses, elephants, chariots, women, food and drink, etc., are manifested before him, and he himself enjoys them and also gives them to others. Why is that? Because he has accomplished that mantra. Manjushri, likewise, others enjoy what others have done. Manjushri, there are instances where one does and many enjoy, like a wheel-turning king or a farmer. Manjushri, what is said about who abandons this world and who goes to another world? Manjushri, when the collection of mind and mental factors abides in the unconditioned realm, then it is this world. When the collection of mind and mental factors abides in the unconditioned realm, then the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the perfectly enlightened Buddhas, abandon this world and go to another world, so it is established. This is the excellent speech of one who has realized the nature of reality. Why is that? Because the nature of reality abides in the unconditioned realm, and it is never stained by the defilement of the conditioned. For example, a diamond is not stained by all the faults of the turbidity of mud. Likewise, the nature of reality is not stained by all the faults of the conditioned. Manjushri, ordinary beings belonging to the conditioned realm, who have fallen into the continuum of afflictions, whose minds are born from the clinging to self and the clinging to what belongs to self, those who are born in existence, accomplish afflictions. They are near the time of death, and this collection of formations ceases.
