Then, he reported to the Bhagavan in this way: If, for the sake of requesting and then receiving a prophecy, the Bhagavan would grant me an opportunity, then I would ask the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Complete Buddha, about some aspects. After reporting in this way, the Bhagavan spoke to the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra in this way: Son of good family, ask whatever you wish, and I will make your mind rejoice with the prophecy of those questions. After speaking in this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra reported to the Bhagavan in this way: Bhagavan, just like this, what is the term for entering the Great Vehicle, entering the Great Vehicle? What is the conduct of entering the Great Vehicle like? Who can comprehend and understand that conduct? After reporting in this way, the Bhagavan praised the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, saying: Well done, great-minded one, well done, well done! Great-minded one, it is very good that you ask the Tathagata about such a meaning! Therefore, listen carefully and attentively, and keep it in mind, and I will explain entering the Great Vehicle and the place of entering the Great Vehicle. Son of good family, the so-called Great Vehicle is the term for the inconceivable Dharma-nature. Its entry is Bodhi. Son of good family, the so-called place is the basis. That is, the conduct that is preceded by great compassion, that is, taking hold of the power to subdue all sentient beings, and showing its appearance according to the power of place and time. Son of good family, furthermore, the Great Vehicle is of two kinds, namely, distinguished by the conditioned and distinguished by the unconditioned. Among them, what is distinguished by the conditioned is the nature of conduct. The Great Vehicle itself, which is distinguished by the unconditioned, is the Great Vehicle. Son of good family, furthermore, the conditioned is produced by causes and conditions, and is the nature of dependent arising. Son of good family, the unconditioned is the nature of non-arising and the self-nature of emptiness. Son of good family, furthermore, the
