became. Then, at the urging of the Queen of Vidya-mantras by the Blessed One, the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra spoke to all the Yaksha assemblies: Friends, please come here. For the sake of seeing, paying homage to, and venerating the Blessed One, he is surrounded by assemblies of many Bodhisattvas; he is surrounded by hundreds of thousands of Shravakas; gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, and countless millions of human and non-human beings surround him and lead the way to the dense forest adorned with various Sala tree banners, and to where the Blessed One, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha Shakyamuni resides. Then, those Yaksha assemblies and young Yakshas spoke with one voice: As the great being has said, in order to see, pay homage to, and venerate the Blessed One Shakyamuni, and also to see, pay homage to, and venerate that entire retinue with all its perfections, we shall proceed to the dense forest adorned with various Sala tree banners. Then, the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra at that time entered the Samadhi called "Various Ornaments," which reveals the common cause of all practices. As soon as the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra entered that Samadhi, at that very moment, from there appeared a tiered mansion adorned with the ornaments of Vairochana, as vast and wide as a three-thousand great thousand world system, with countless millions of great jewel pillars erected, adorned with many gatehouses, stables, and platforms, made of Jambu River gold, adorned like a single Sala tree, with the ends beautifully adorned with garlands like pigeons, hung with nets of two kinds of pearls, The net of jeweled bells completely encircled the space above, beautifully adorned with many celestial silk ornaments and silk canopies. Filled with countless hundreds of millions of trillions of women singing, dancing, playing music, speaking sweetly, adorned with bracelets, earrings, and rings, and possessing divine bodies. Everywhere were hung great precious canopies, and the four directions were beautifully adorned with great lapis lazuli. Comfortable to the touch like Kacalidika, adorned with trees blooming with flowers of all seasons, and decorated with strings of divine precious stairs. Swans, geese, ducks, jackdaws, parrots, tree sparrows, peacocks, cranes, and various flocks of birds made sounds. Ponds filled with divine lotuses (Sanskrit: utpala, 青蓮花), water lilies (Sanskrit: kumuda, 白睡莲), white lotuses, flowers of excellent fragrance, lotuses, kalaraka, and water possessing eight qualities, were places to be enjoyed by Bodhisattvas, adorned with the mud of divine sandalwood and snake-heart incense, and in that ever-uninterrupted mansion, rains of divine mandarava flowers (Sanskrit: mandarava, 适意花), parusaka flowers (Sanskrit: parusaka, 粗涩花), great parusaka flowers (Sanskrit: mahaparusaka, 大粗涩花), savartola flowers (Sanskrit: savartola, 遍生花), and great savartola flowers (Sanskrit: mahasavartola, 大遍生花) manifestly fell. Covered with many clouds of black agarwood incense, it became exceedingly beautiful. In that mansion, the respective abodes of all Bodhisattvas, created by karma according to their thoughts, were manifested. In each of those mansions were arranged sixteen wish-fulfilling jewels, including the king of jewels, and great precious jewels that could be enjoyed as desired, fulfilling the wishes of all sentient beings. All the mansions adorned with the decorations of Vairochana were beautified by hanging umbrellas, victory banners, and flags. In those mansions were also manifested lion thrones with lotus hearts. All the mansions possessed the clear nature of great lapis lazuli, and just as a highly polished mirror, the mansions adorned with the decorations of Vairochana were naturally pure and clear, and because of the clarity of the lapis lazuli, the great thousandfold world of the three thousand worlds...
