All the realms of 'Na' appeared as images. In the center, the lion throne of the Bhagavan, made from the essence of the adornments of all beings, the king of jewels, manifested. Clouds of resources for the near-dwelling of all sentient beings constantly descended in that tiered mansion, manifesting. Thus, Bodhisattva Samantabhadra did so for the sake of the vast ocean of conduct practiced in the past by the Bhagavan Vairochana. Having manifested in this way to make offerings to the Bhagavan, together with a great assembly of yakshas, surrounded and led by many hundreds of thousands of billions of yaksha youths, in order to behold the Bhagavan, to pay homage, to attend, and to listen to the Dharma, by the great magical power of the Bodhisattva and the great strength of the Bodhisattva, they lifted that tiered mansion with both hands and descended from the sky above, going to where there was a dense forest adorned with various sala tree banners, and to where the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyak-sambuddha Shakyamuni was. The light of that tiered mansion illuminated this dense forest adorned with various sala tree banners, and everything appeared pervaded by great light, so that the gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, kinnaras, Mahoragas, humans, and non-humans who had gathered and were dwelling in that assembly were illuminated by that light, and looking in the four directions and in the sky above, at sixty-eight hundred thousand kotis of yojanas, they saw something blazing like a great heap of fire, shining brilliantly like a thousand suns. Having seen it, with hearts filled with wonder, they gazed at each other and remained silent. Those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who had attained dharani, attained patience, and attained power also looked and saw something blazing like a great heap of fire, shining brilliantly like a thousand suns, and those too, with hearts filled with wonder, asked the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyak-sambuddha Shakyamuni: Bhagavan,

From this passing away (Nirvana), in the space above sixty-eight hundred thousand kotis, there is a shimmering, bright, and clear light. What is this difficult to understand and difficult to express, O Bhagavan? The Bhagavan, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, spoke to those Bodhisattvas and the great assembly of gods: Sons of good family, this is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Samantabhadra, who has come to see me, to pay homage, to make offerings, to venerate, and to listen to the Dharma. For the sake of offering to me, he has manifested the multi-storied mansion called "Adornment of Vairocana," which is a miraculous display of the conduct of all the Tathagatas, a common cause for accomplishing previous conduct. This is the light of the qualities of any Dharma, which cannot be exhausted even in a hundred kalpas, shining, bright, and clear. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra will also inquire about the Dharma categories of the pure abode, which is the gateway to entering the Great Vehicle. As soon as the Bhagavan spoke these words in reply, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, sitting in the space above the height of seven Tala trees, in all the dense forests adorned with various Sala tree banners, manifested clouds of divine flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, ointments, powders, clothes, umbrellas, banners, streamers, and musical instruments, raining down like rain, descending from the sky above, and offered that mansion to the Bhagavan. After offering it, he also praised the Bhagavan: With body, speech, and mind knowing, Pure ascetic, excellent one, With all discriminations completely pure, I prostrate to you, sentient beings. With eyes and likewise ears, Nose and likewise tongue, Body and likewise mind, I prostrate to the best of speakers. Form and sound and smell and taste, Tangible objects sought, From all things liberated, I prostrate to the supreme Victor. Primordially peaceful and unborn, Of body, speech, and mind, and so on.

Sa! Like an image in the world, Lord, you are always joyful. You are not the life of sentient beings, You are not the basis of all individuals. Not born from time and nature, How is it not, what is it not? You are merely arisen from dependence, Abandoned to things like illusion. All dharmas are like illusions, You have understood, supreme among bipeds. You are empty by nature, But emptiness is also not present. Liberated from emptiness and non-emptiness, I prostrate to you who are like the sky! Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, after praising the Bhagavan, together with his retinue, circumambulated the Bhagavan hundreds of thousands of times, bowed his head to the feet of the Bhagavan, gazed at the Bhagavan, and sat in one place. Then, from that multi-storied building and those arrangements, and from the cymbals and clappers, the sound of the initial conduct of the Great Vehicle resounded loudly from one to another. Primordially peaceful and without characteristics, The nature of reality is one taste and pure, You all abandon doubts and hesitations, Alas! Strive diligently in this. This is the place of the Great Vehicle, The previous conduct is unsurpassed, The king of conduct is very joyful, May all beings attain it greatly. The previous conduct, like oceans, By the cause of complete purification, The Victorious Vairocana, Always beautiful and to be seen here. The teacher does not abide anywhere, Nor does he abide in any conduct, But those who have trained in all conducts, They will all abide. The lord of beings, the eye and the ear, Likewise the nose and the tongue, The body and the mind's appearance, Are not real existences. The conduct of the first arising, When it is purified by practice, At that time, the Bhagavan Vairocana, Is always seen by the yogi. Not far nor near, Not inside nor outside, Always abiding like the sky, The yogi appears great. As soon as the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra heard those verses, he immediately rose from his seat, draped his upper garment over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and bowed respectfully with folded palms towards where the Bhagavan was.
