Separated from bodhicitta, one is not worthy of the gods' offerings. Separated from skillful means and wisdom, the sons of the Victorious Ones, the Shravakas, and any Pratyekabuddhas, all dwell in places of asceticism, possessing a mind of benefiting self and others, there is no use for them. Arising from skillful means and wisdom, the bodhicitta is compassionate. The chariot of bodhicitta, and the reins of love and compassion, and the earth and the paramitas, and the vajra of the four ways of gathering disciples, and the land of omniscience, and on the limbs of the path to enlightenment, relying on the sons of the Buddhas, they play with the joy of benefiting sentient beings. Thus, the Vajradhara master, with mastery of skillful means and wisdom, thoroughly pacifies the minds of all haters.
