Please speak your thoughts to me. After this request, the Blessed One spoke to the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, saying: Lord of Secrets, regarding the fire pit, it should be one cubit in size all around, with an opening of four fingers. It should be marked with the signs of the vajra. On the right side of the fire pit, spread out moist kusha grass, with the tips wrapped around the roots, and the roots wrapped around the tips. Here, perform the burnt offering from the right side, like encircling with kusha grass. Offer perfume, flowers, incense, etc., to the fire of Mrida (Sanskrit: Mṛḍa). In that fire pit for burnt offerings, the fire of Mrida (Sanskrit: Mṛḍa), shaped by oneself with a single flower, should be placed by the mantra practitioner with diligence in discipline. The burnt offering should also begin from there. With one's own secret mantra, the wise should offer to it. Then perform either a peaceful fire offering or an increasing fire offering. This worldly fire offering is called externalist. Furthermore, the internal fire offering is to block karma and lifespan, which should be understood by the mind. Abandon forms, sounds, etc., and the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body, which are born from the mind and reside on the king of the mind. These, born from conceptual thought, as well as the mind of enlightenment, objects, eyes, etc., and also the fire of wind, should be blocked by wisdom without distraction, and burnt in the fire of the mind. That is the internal fire offering, which I have shown to you, Deva (Sanskrit: Deva). Then, the Blessed One spoke to the assembled retinue, complete with all: You should practice this Dharma category with diligence and mindfulness. Do not give it to anyone other than my sons. I will explain their characteristics; everyone should listen. Those born from the lineage of the sun, with pride but also sharp intelligence, who are grateful and also desire the Dharma, who also understand the Dharma and strive for the Dharma, whose complexion is bluish-green, whose appearance is very handsome, whose nose is high and the tip is sharp, whose head and forehead are broad, all these are my sons, they are mindful of the Dharma. To them, diligently, these should always be given. Then, all of them were delighted in their hearts, the Teacher
