Profound and extremely serene, difficult for all speculation to comprehend, having completely abandoned all faults, spoken of in the past by all the Buddhas. Secret Lord, even for those who abide in the mind that transcends the world, the thought arises that the aggregates exist. When they generate detachment from the aggregates, they become liberated through destruction, like foam, water bubbles, illusion, and mirage. For example, having completely abandoned the aggregates, elements, sense bases, what is grasped and the grasper, one will realize the realm of peace, the very nature of reality. Secret Lord, the mind that transcends the world is connected with eight distinctions of inverted and non-inverted minds, and is free from the net of karma and afflictions; yogis will pass through one kalpa with this. Secret Lord, furthermore, for those who proceed by the Great Vehicle and do not rely on others, the mind of no-self of phenomena arises. Why is that? It is because, as they practice what was previously practiced, and when the place of the aggregates is completely destroyed, in order to fully know the nature, conceptions arise like illusion, mirage, reflection, echo, fire wheel, and city of gandharvas. Secret Lord, therefore, since the minds of those people are dominated, even the no-self of phenomena should be abandoned, because one's own mind is unborn from the very beginning. Why is that? Secret Lord, in order to fully know the nature, one does not perceive a prior limit or a later limit for the mind; yogis will also pass through two kalpas with this. Secret Lord, furthermore, bodhisattvas who practice the conduct of bodhisattvas through the door of secret mantra, having accumulated immeasurable collections of merit and wisdom for countless hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas, are completely held by immeasurable wisdom and means, are revered by the world including gods and asuras, have completely transcended the actions of all shravakas and pratyekabuddhas, and are revered by Indra, Brahma, and Near Authority and so forth; for example, the very nature of emptiness is

Without inherent existence. Without characteristics. Without signs. Transcending all elaborations. Immeasurable like the sky. Becoming the opportunity for all dharmas. Separated from the realms of conditioned and unconditioned. Without action and activity. Separated from the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind, the mind arises as utterly devoid of inherent existence. Secret Lord, the Buddhas have said that this is the first mind of enlightenment. They are liberated from afflictions and karma. They also possess karma and afflictions. They are the objects of generosity in the world, and they should be regarded as constantly worshipped images. Secret Lord, furthermore, the ground of practice is through faith. Contemplating the three minds in various ways, practicing the perfections, and through the four means of gathering. The ground of faith is incomparable. Immeasurable and inconceivable. The arising of immeasurable wisdom will be attained through the ten minds. Whatever I have spoken of slightly, all will be attained through this. Therefore, the all-knowing ones have explained this as the activity of faith. The wise ones will completely transcend the ground in one kalpa. And one-fourth of this will also transcend from faith. Then, Vajrapani again requested the Bhagavan, saying: Protector, all-pervading Lord, since you have shown the nature of the mind, after obtaining how many kinds of exhalation will those supreme beings complete exhalation? After requesting thus, the Bhagavan, the Great Vairocana, at that time said to Vajrapani: Gather your mind and listen. Secret Lord, when childish ordinary beings abandon non-virtuous actions and engage in virtuous actions, at that time, exhalation is completed through virtue. When one truly knows the suchness of self, just as it is, at that time, exhalation is completed by relying on self. When the aggregates are completely grasped and one analyzes one's own nature, thereby completely abandoning attachment to self, at that time, exhalation is completed through selflessness. When the aggregates are abandoned and one abides in the object of dharma, at that time, exhalation is completed through dharma. When all dharmas are abandoned and one abides in non-arising, at that time, exhalation is completed through the selflessness of dharma. When the aggregates and
