Between the two horns, one should contemplate the central face as red, extremely terrifying, with blood dripping from the mouth. Above is the face of Manjushri, slightly yellow, momentarily wrathful, adorned with the ornaments of a child. One should contemplate the five tufts of hair on the crown of the head. One should meditate on all the faces as having three eyes. In this way, one should always focus single-mindedly. Having meditated that one is the glorious Great Vajra Terrifier with the buffalo face, the yogi who abides in the place of heroes should then recite the mantra from the outside. During the recitation, one should contemplate a sun disc in one's heart, and on top of that, one should place the letters of one's mantra. One should recite with a blazing and outwardly unscattered mind.

安住于此瑜伽之咒师，恒常作怖畏之诸事业，于尸林处修习，恒常食五甘露。彼无余可成之事。又食大灯明，夜晚游行之瑜伽士，应诵三十万根本咒。以此诵咒之咒师，能成办一切事业。此乃名为文殊者，吉祥大威德金刚续中所说之第四观修品。之后，宣说吉祥大威德所说之画像仪轨。于勇士之布，或覆盖尸体之布，或具花之布，或新生儿之布。若不得，于任何布上，善妙画师无分别，不嗔怒，清净，贤善，心正直，具信心，慈爱，离贪欲。如是具功德者。如是之画师之手，应于勇士之布上绘画。若欲成就，应供养勇士之财物。其仪轨为安住于秘密处，以极平等之心绘画。唯画师与修行者可见，不应为其他世间人所见。应画具十六足，三十四臂，九面，裸身黑色，左展立，具大怖畏，亦令怖畏之相。阳具竖立之唐卡。第一面为水牛面。右角之上有三面，即蓝色，红色，黄色，极忿怒之相。左边为白色，烟色，黑色。二者之中间应画极红色之面。其上方应画文殊之黄色面，略带忿怒之相。右手中持弯刀，独尖之矛，木槌，水刀，独尖金刚杵，斧，矛，箭，铁钩，木棍，喀章嘎，轮，金刚杵，金刚杵锤，剑，钹。左手中持颅碗，头颅，盾牌，足，索，弓，肠，铃，手，尸林布，以明木刺穿之男子，火。

The mantra practitioner who dwells in this yoga, constantly performs all the deeds of fear, meditates in the charnel ground, and always eats the five nectars. There is nothing else to accomplish with it. Also, the yogi who eats great lamps and wanders at night should recite the root mantra three hundred thousand times. The mantra practitioner who recites this will accomplish all deeds. This is the fourth contemplation chapter called Manjushri from the great glorious Vajrabhairava tantra. Then, the ritual of painting images taught by the glorious great Bhairava is extensively explained. On the cloth of a hero, or the cloth covering a corpse, or the cloth with flowers, or the cloth of a newborn child. If that is not found, on any cloth, a good painter without discrimination, not angry, clean, wise, upright in mind, with faith, loving, free from desire. Thus, one who possesses qualities. With the hands of such a painter, one should paint on the cloth of a hero. If one desires accomplishment, one should offer the wealth of a hero. The ritual for that is to dwell in a secret place and paint with a very equal mind. Only the painter and the practitioner should see it, and it should not be seen by other worldly people. One should paint a thangka with sixteen legs, thirty-four arms, nine faces, naked, black in color, with the left leg extended, having a great fearful appearance that also causes fear, and with the male organ erect. The first face is a buffalo face. On the right horn are three faces: blue, red, and yellow, with a very wrathful appearance. On the left are white, smoke-colored, and black. In the middle of those two, one should paint a very red face. Above that, one should paint the yellow face of Manjushri, slightly wrathful. In the right hands are a curved knife, a single-pointed spear, a mallet, a water knife, a single-pointed vajra, an axe, a spear, an arrow, an iron hook, a wooden club, a khatvanga, a wheel, a vajra, a vajra hammer, a sword, and a cymbal. In the left hands are a skull cup, a head, a shield, a foot, a rope, a bow, intestines, a bell, a hand, a charnel ground cloth, a man pierced with a bright wooden stake, and fire.
