In terms of meaning, camphor is the liquid, i.e., the sap of the camphor tree, which arises from all kinds of vibrations. A large amount of blood is naturally produced blood, i.e., Ceylonese red blood flows from the veins. The sap of red sandalwood is mixed with the Dharmadhatu, completely merged into the mother's lotus, inseparable, from which the bodies of beings manifest, perfectly presenting the way of enlightenment. Padma Bhaga, i.e., the part of wisdom; Vajra Linga, i.e., the part of skillful means; the reversal of the setting of the sun and moon reaches equilibrium, from which letters arise, i.e., the seed, is the accomplisher of merit. The father and mother Vajrayoginis with the four seals, from the Dharmadhatu, manifest the meaning of bliss, correctly revealing wisdom, which is uncommon. Maitreya Bodhisattva asked: What is the direct meaning of these? The Blessed One said: Whether it is the various letters of vowels and consonants, the boundary expressed through the meaning of sound, and the common Dharma to be expressed, and the uncommon secret, for the great Bodhisattvas, the unsurpassed great secret Dharani and Vidyāmantra, rely on the Suchness of sound to be thoroughly realized. Furthermore, for those who have become speculators, the expression shown is common, the indivisible Vajra letters become life, and many Dharma aggregates also arise from it and merge into it, which is revealed as the direct meaning. For these, there are also the five aggregates, the five families, the five elements, and the five wisdoms completely purified, the aggregates of discipline, meditation, wisdom, liberation, and the wisdom of liberation. Exhausting all directions of change, the sun and moon arise from the place of the body, the mandala of power has instability, and change arises from the fourth place. The water deity has eighty-four kinds, one thousand and eighty kinds of light. These become the gateway to the Dharma, and the aggregates become unsurpassed. In the two tantras and the action tantra, etc., what is said to be clear in meaning is as literal as it is. For example, the collection of activities such as mandalas, offerings, tormas, medicines, and pacification, and the eight great worldly siddhis that are said, are all as literal as they are, i.e., letters.
