Brahmin caste and, Kshatriya caste and, Vaishya caste and, Shudra caste, are called thus. The laws regarding taking wives are such that Brahmins have four types of wives: Brahmin women and, Kshatriya women and, Vaishya women and, Shudra women. O, inferior one, Kshatriyas have three types of wives: Kshatriya women and, Vaishya women and, Shudra women. Vaishyas have two types of wives: Vaishya women and, Shudra women. Shudras have only one type of wife: Shudra women themselves. O, inferior one, Brahmins have four types of sons: born from Brahmin women and, Kshatriya women and, Vaishya women and, Shudra women. Kshatriyas have three types of sons: born from Kshatriya women and, Vaishya women and, Shudra women. Vaishyas have two types of sons: born from Vaishya women and, Shudra women. Shudras have only one type of son: born from Shudra women. O, inferior one, Brahmins' sons are born from the upper part of the body. From the chest are born Kshatriyas. From the navel are born Vaishyas. From the feet are born Shudras. O, inferior one, indeed Brahmins are born from that which creates all the worlds. Then are the Kshatriyas. Then are the Vaishyas, the third. Then are the Shudras, considered the fourth. O, inferior one, haven't you seen that your caste is the fourth like that? My caste is the best, the master of castes, the most excellent, the most supreme of castes, having become sacred, and wanting to truly associate? O, inferior one, you are to be abandoned, get away from me! Again, when such words were heard from the heart essence of the Brahmin lotus, the Chandala king Trishanku spoke thus: Brahmin, listen, here you say that we are born from that which creates all the worlds, so we are the elder brothers, then are the Kshatriyas.

The land-owning caste, the third. Then the commoner caste, the fourth, they think. For what is shown, with feet, with thighs, with hands, with ribs. Even if a person, what difference is there in one part? Therefore, the four castes are not established. Therefore, tell what distinction distinguishes them. Therefore, since there is no distinction, the castes are not established as four. Just as when children play, they knead shapes from large lumps of clay on the road and give themselves names: This is milk, this is yogurt, this is butter, this is meat. But the children do not turn them into four things like milk. Likewise, just as knowing that the mixture of kneading clay is different, not because of hair, not because of ears, not because of head, not because of eyes, not because of mouth, not because of nose, not because of throat, not because of shoulders, not because of chest, not because of ribs, not because of belly and back, not because of thighs and buttocks, not because of feet and hands, not because of shape, not because of color, not because of dwelling and desire, not because of behavior. All the various differences, whatever people have, therefore, according to their own merit, caste, distinguished by the sexual organs of men and women. When feet and hands agree, what caste do you think that is? Head and chests, and skin and the functions of the senses, the belly has, but does not have, one part, there is no distinction in dwelling. Who understands that there are four castes? Therefore, what is the best? Tell what distinction you want. There is no best distinction here. It is said that the four castes have no distinction. Because there is such a fault here, whenever, what you say is unreasonable. O wise one, listen to me again, and I will tell of the well-spoken, supremely white, ultimate topic of Dharma, and if after hearing it is not reasonable, please speak again. Whatever is shown here has certainty, and if you say it is unreasonable, after hearing it from me again, O wise one, if you can understand, then for people there is no distinction of the most excellent Dharma. Brahmin, with what inference of reasoning do you analyze it?

Now, it is one with the Brahmins. Here, it seems that all beings are of the same caste. It is not of the same caste as me, nor is it of a different caste from me. To say that Brahma created all this world, if it is said that Brahma created, this is not a reason that everyone agrees with. Because the four castes that are said—Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras—Brahma is not the cause of them. If the Brahmins are truly observed, it will be found that the factors of various castes of people are gathered together. For example, the head, mouth, eyes, ears, nose, face, color, shape, form, place of birth, and differences in food should be understood as diverse. O lotus heart, for example, cows, horses, donkeys, dogs, jackals, deer, birds, and goats and sheep, etc., through oviparous, viviparous, moisture-born, and metamorphic means, it should be known that beings are different from each other. For example, the diversity of feet, face, color, shape, food, and place of birth should also be known. Therefore, these four castes should not be considered different from each other. Therefore, these are similar to and one with the Brahmins. These trees, too, should be known to have various fruits such as mangoes, jambu fruits, dates, jackfruit, palasa, gezzaka, grapes, pisola, kapitta, starga, narikela, tinniga, sarjaka, and so on. For example, the roots, stems, parts of the bark, flowers, and the endless leaves, flowers, and fruits should be known to be diverse. Flowers without fruit should also be known to be diverse. Therefore, these four castes are not different from each other. These Brahmins, for example, these are trees that grow from dry places, such as sala trees, nada trees, tamala trees, karnika trees, seven-leaf trees, shirish trees, obodala trees, sandalwood trees, shava trees, dapa trees, sanghadega, etc., should be known to be diverse. For example, the roots and stems
