Are. The sun and moon are two eyes. Grass and trees are hairs. Tears are the rain of the sky. The oceans are all considered urine. The mountains are the outer land. That is Brahma, the lord of the Sahā world. No one is as wise as you. I say it as it is. Hey, Caṇḍāla Ku, what else can I say to you here? Furthermore, by clearly examining one's own characteristics, (it is known that) beings are born from the union of father and mother, and are deceived by the desire for pleasure to enter the womb. There is no one who is not born. All the worlds are born, the Brahmin caste, the Kshatriya caste, the Vaishya caste, the Shudra caste, all of these have blind people, people with severed hands, lame people, leprosy, smallpox, amnesia, vitiligo. Likewise, all beings exist in different ways, because they have bones, skin, nails, flesh, pleasure, pain, feces, and urine, and because the senses are indistinguishable, the four castes will not be established. Brahmin, if the fruit of the Brahmin mantra is to ascend to heaven, then the fruit of good and evil deeds will become meaningless and wasted. Whoever sees the ripening of the fruits of good and evil deeds in the five realms of beings. Then, the Caṇḍāla king Caṇḍāla Ku defeated the Brahmin in the name of Lotus Heart. Then, that Brahmin said to the Caṇḍāla king Caṇḍāla Ku: You are Brahma, the lord of the gods Kauśika, the Gautama circumference, the white crest, the expounder of the wise actions of the parrot, the supreme one who is called the great divine hermit, now you are. Here, you create all the treatises with supreme wisdom, you are the supreme special one of this world, you act with reason. Therefore, I will give you a beautiful daughter with discipline, appearance, and merit as a bride. The young man Tiger Ear and the beautiful woman are both beautiful and harmonious, and they are also pleased and delighted with this, having said that, holding a golden vase filled with water, the Brahmin was very devout and happy,

Having been satisfied, they bathed the daughter with clear water and gave her away, saying, 'May this beautiful daughter, with a joyful heart, become the wife of the youth Tiger-ear!' Then, the Candala king Tresanku took the daughter for his son. Returning to his own city, he ruled his kingdom with the fame of being endowed with Dharma. Furthermore, monks, do you think that the Candala king Tresanku at that time was someone else? It should not be viewed that way, for I myself was the Candala king Tresanku at that time. Also, do you think that the youth Tiger-ear, who was the son of the Candala king Tresanku, was someone else? It should not be viewed that way, for the venerable Ananda himself was the youth Tiger-ear at that time. Furthermore, do you think that the Brahmin Lotus-essence at that time was someone else? It should not be viewed that way, for the son of the venerable Saradvatiputra was the Brahmin Lotus-essence at that time. Also, do you think that the beautiful daughter at that time, who was the daughter of the Brahmin Lotus-essence, was someone else? It should not be viewed that way, for the bhikkhuni Beautiful-form herself was the daughter of Lotus-essence at that time. Because of being bound by that and the cause of affection, now wherever the monk Ananda goes, she follows; wherever he sits, she sits; and to whatever house he enters for alms, she stands silently at that door. Then the Blessed One revealed this very form of the basis of the discourse, and at that time spoke in verse: By the habits of previous births, Even now there is affection; The bondage born of that, Is like a lotus born from water. Therefore, monks, since the four noble truths have not been realized, they should be realized without words through diligence, effort, joy, and strong desire, and practiced with mindfulness and awareness. What are those four? The noble truth of suffering,

What is suffering? The noble truth of the origin is suffering, the noble truth of cessation is suffering, and the noble truth of the path is suffering. In order to realize these four noble truths, one should strive, make great effort, rejoice, and have a strong desire, not in words but in actions, and combine them with mindfulness and awareness. When this Dharma discourse was taught, the minds of sixty monks were liberated from all defilements without clinging. The great assembly of people in Shravasti, Brahmins and householders, obtained the Dharma eye, free from dust and defilement. Those monks, as well as King Prasenajit of Kosala, the great assembly of people in Shravasti, Brahmins and householders, gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, gandharvas, and the world rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said. Thus concludes the Noble Tiger Ear Sutra. Translated by the Indian abbot, the monk Ajitaśrībhadra, and the reviser, the translator Sengkar, the monk Śākyaprabha. The narrative of Tiger Ear's realization.
