There is no turning back. Each has its own necessity, because it is not necessarily the same, so it is called the Buddha's intention is inconceivable. Question: Why do the three fruits of the Hearers regress, while the last fruit does not regress? Answer: Because the first three fruits have been obtained before, they will regress. The last fruit has not yet been obtained, so it will not regress. For example, a hungry person who encounters delicious food will not forget it for a long time, and this principle is the same. In addition, the last fruit will become the path of unobstructed patience, and will also become the path of wisdom liberation. The first three fruits have not become the path of unobstructed wisdom, nor have they become the path of wisdom liberation, so they will regress. In addition, the path of seeing the truth does not regress, and the path of thinking regresses, because the knots of affliction are cut off with pure and impure concepts. Thinking has universal afflictions, but seeing the truth does not have universal afflictions. Because seeing the truth does not have universal afflictions, and seeing the truth also sees universal afflictions, after seeing the meaning, deep meaning thinking will also arise, so universal afflictions will not regress. In addition, the power of the wisdom of seeing the truth is strong, like a large tree pressing down on something, because the wisdom of thinking and attention is weak, so there will be regression. In addition, the desire realm patience and wisdom mind that want to see the truth, these two will cut off the ninth universal affliction knot. The patience and wisdom mind of the upper realm, these two will cut off seventy-two universal afflictions. The ultimate of the formless realm does not regress. Because the principle is like this, it is only called Bhagavan. In addition, the Buddha does not have the image of habitual tendencies, but the habitual tendencies of the two vehicles have not been exhausted. For example, there is a monk called 'always chewing', who always chews like a cow, which is also because he was a cow many times in his previous life and was reborn as a human. For example, there is a monk who, even though he has exhausted his outflows, always looks in the mirror, which is because he was reborn as a human from a snake-selling woman many lifetimes ago.

Therefore. For example, a monk who enjoys climbing beds and ladders is also born as a human from being a monkey in many lifetimes. It is not appropriate to call them Bhagavan. Question: When I say, "Thus have I heard," does it mean I heard it when the Buddha was alive? Or did I hear it after the Buddha passed away? If I say, "Thus have I heard" from the words collected in the Dharma treasury, doesn't it mean that the Buddha has already attained enlightenment, and everything taught has been completely taught and explained to me? Question: How should the words of Dharma spoken during the twenty years be taught? Answer: Through the skillful means of the Buddha, even a single verse can reveal countless Dharmas, and the meaning of countless Dharmas can also be revealed by a single verse. Even if only a little sutra is taught, Ananda can know everything, because he has sharp wisdom and great power to hold mantras. The so-called eighty-four thousand Dharmas are like the roots, branches, shoots, and leaves of a tree, which are generally called one tree. For the benefit of sentient beings, the Dharma taught by the Buddha from beginning to end is called one scripture collection, and in this way, there are eighty-four thousand. Otherwise, the Buddha preached the Dharma for twenty years without moving from the same seat, but if Ananda did not hear it, why should I say, "Thus have I heard"? Answer: It can also be said that the gods spoke to Ananda. Or, the Buddha Bhagavan made Ananda know through the wisdom of conventional truth. Or, it can also be said that the Dharma was spoken to the monks. Furthermore, Ananda prayed to the Buddha in this way: Please do not give me the Buddha's old clothes, nor give me the offerings of the patrons. I serve the Buddha for the sake of seeking the Dharma, not for clothes and food. Other monks can only see the Buddha in the morning and evening, but I hope to see the Buddha whenever I want to see him. Furthermore, the Dharma was preached for twenty years, and teaching the Dharma is called one scripture collection, and in this way, there are eighty-four thousand. Also, the letters of
