Hearing the call of everyone, a mind of extreme joy arose as if blessed by the noble ones. Everyone arrived at the place of giving, taking clothes, bedding, food and drink, various bodily ornaments, many medicines for diseases, cows, elephants, horses, and the seven precious things, whatever they desired, as they wished, taking all the items of giving without exception. Then, the benefactor, happy, returned home and enjoyed the five desires like his wife and children. After about seven days, people said, "The clothes, food, drink, and so on that the benefactor gave before, those who ate the food have been poisoned and all have died." Having died in this way, everyone exclaimed, "How amazing, how amazing!" Thus, that great benefactor, out of compassion for all, satisfied them with food and so on as they wished, and having made their bodies and lives alive, not long after, the sound spread that they had all died from poisoning. At that time, the great benefactor, hearing that such a thing had happened, became dejected and unhappy, and asked his wife and children, "How did you prepare the food? How did the terrible poison come into the food?" The wife, children, servants, and workers replied, "There is no possibility of poison. Where did this poison come from? Please investigate carefully." Then, the benefactor inspected the house, and finally saw a well covered and concealed. He asked, "Why is this well covered?" They replied, "This well is from when you, the master of the house, were a small child, you raised three venomous snakes, so you dug this well and put the three venomous snakes in it. This well is the well where the venomous snakes reside. The water is also poisonous, and drinking this water will cause death." Hearing those words, the benefactor asked the workers, "When you were cooking food before, did you take water from this well to cook the food?" The workers said, "Because we had to cook a lot of food, in our haste we also took water from this well to cook the food."

It is announced that it has been done. The householder was unhappy and felt it was very strange. I seem to be a foolish person without wisdom, why am I raising poisonous snakes and digging poisonous wells? After regretting, he told his wife and son: Quickly sell the well with the three poisonous snakes! I will also burn these three poisonous snakes. After saying that, the working people immediately filled the well. After that, the benefactor got rid of the poisonous snake well and went out for a walk, but died because the food was poisoned. Everyone agreed that this benefactor poisoned us and made us die early. If we had known this, it would have been better not to go there, we regret it very much. Similarly, the Wheel-Turning King also tamed sentient beings with the ten virtues. Sentient beings are born in the heavens and the human realm, and enjoy the five desires, but they cannot escape birth, old age, sickness, and death, which is the same. After that, the Wheel-Turning King immediately practiced the supreme Buddha-dharma and the transcendental dharma, and made sentient beings also read, recite, ask, and become familiar with these, vowing to completely abandon the cycle of birth and death and attain Nirvana. At that time, the Wheel-Turning King, in order to seek the Buddha-dharma, posted notices throughout Jambudvipa: Who knows the Buddha-dharma? The Wheel-Turning King posted notices everywhere to seek the Dharma, but no one knew. He went to a small remote place, where a Brahmin said that he knew the Buddha-dharma. After that, he sent a messenger to the Brahmin. The messenger went to the Brahmin and asked: Venerable, do you know the Buddha-dharma? The Brahmin said: I know. After that, the messenger bowed his head at the feet of the Brahmin and said: Venerable, the Wheel-Turning King sent me to invite you, please go to the Wheel-Turning King. After that,

The Brahmin also came there, and the Chakravartin king greeted him from afar, bowed to his feet with his head, and asked, "Have you come in peace? Did you not experience afflictions on the way? Did you not become weary?" After inquiring in this way, he led him into the palace and placed him on the king's throne in the center of the palace. The Brahmin also sat on the seat with his legs crossed. At that time, the king made the Brahmin sit comfortably, offered all the necessary items, gave alms, and with his palms together, asked the Brahmin, "Do you know the Dharma of the great teacher, the Buddha?" The Brahmin said, "I know the Dharma of the Buddha." Then the king said to the Brahmin, "Great teacher, please show and explain the Dharma to me." The Brahmin said, "King, you are very foolish. I learned the Dharma of the Buddha after experiencing long and unbearable suffering. Now, do you want to hear it easily?" The king said, "Great teacher, then what do you want?" The Brahmin said, "Make offerings to me." The king said, "Great teacher, what offerings do you want? Clothes? Bedding? Food? Drink? Or do you want gold? Silver? Jewels?" The Brahmin said, "I do not want such offerings." The king said, "If you do not want those offerings, then do you want cows? Horses? Carriages? Or do you want land? Cities? Wives? Sons? Music? Songs? Dancing?" The Brahmin said, "I do not want any of those." "If you can make a thousand wounds on your body, pour butter into the wounds, insert butter wicks, and offer a thousand burning butter lamps, then I will teach and explain the Dharma of the Buddha. If you cannot do that, then I will get up and leave." Having said this, before the king could answer, the Brahmin descended from the throne. Then the king embraced him and said, "Great teacher, please be patient for a moment. I am of weak intellect and little merit, so please allow me to think for a moment and then make the offering." At that time, the Chakravartin king thought to himself, "My body has experienced countless deaths since beginningless time, but I have never died for the sake of the Dharma. Now I
