What need is there to mention anything else? Now, because of this well, they are experiencing the suffering of suffering! Thus, they utter cries of lamentation. The Chakravartin King also, in the same way, seeing those individual people, after one has died, the sons and daughters and relatives of the whole family, tormented by the suffering of grief and separation, speaks these words: My body is like that dry well. The well has only a name, but there is no water. So, entering is there, but obtaining is not. Therefore, I am experiencing the suffering of losing such a body and life! Now, I possess the dominion of a Chakravartin King, endowed with the seven precious things, subduing beings with the deeds of the ten virtues, governing the country with righteous laws, placing many beings in the high realms of gods and humans, allowing them to enjoy the supreme qualities of the five desires. However, they are unable to be liberated from birth, aging, sickness, death, suffering, separation, and the suffering of encountering enemies. One cries and wails to another. This is all the fault of my sinful beings! Why is that? Because I do not have the Dharma that transcends the world, which can be transformed for the benefit of many beings. Although I desire to practice virtue and desire great happiness, I am unable to cross the ocean of suffering! At that time, the Chakravartin King also thinks like this: Now, my body is like a foolish benefactor without knowledge! At that time, at another time, because it did not rain for seven years, there was a great drought. The plants also withered. The grain also became extremely scarce, and there was a great famine. One grabbed and ate another. One ate another's flesh and blood. Some parents ate the flesh and blood of their children. Some children ate the flesh of their parents. Parents and siblings, husbands and wives, sons and daughters also ate each other's flesh! At that time, the great benefactor wandered around. Because many beings were hungry, they had lost their vitality, become thin and dry, weak and powerless, with ugly complexions, their hair was tangled, their bodies were black, and they carried corpses on their necks and shoulders.

Carrying. Some were carrying human heads, hands, feet, joints, arms, shoulders, knuckles, backs, thighs, calves, limbs, and small limbs. Some were seen carrying internal organs such as livers, spleens, lungs, intestines, and anuses. Seeing these scenes, the benefactor saw them and asked, "What are you carrying?" They replied, "What we are carrying are corpses, human heads, limbs, thighs, calves, limbs, and small limbs." The benefactor asked, "What do you need to do with the human heads, limbs, and small limbs you are carrying?" They replied, "Don't you know? There has been a great famine, and grain is extremely scarce. People are hungry, and now they are eating each other. What we are carrying is our food." At that time, the great benefactor, hearing them say this, was terrified, his hair stood on end, and he fainted and fell to the ground. People threw cold water on his face, and after a long time, he regained consciousness and asked, "If these are your food, whose flesh is this?" They cried out loudly and said, "We cannot tell the benefactor! Alas, we are suffering! Alas, we are suffering! Alas, alas, we cannot but tell you the truth. Some of what we are carrying is the flesh of our fathers, some is the flesh of our mothers, some is the flesh of our sons, some is the flesh of our siblings, and some is the flesh of our relatives and friends." Those hungry people confessed to the householder one by one, saying, "We are very hungry, so we are eating each other's flesh." At that time, the benefactor just sighed and said to those who were not hungry, "From now on, do not eat each other's flesh! Whatever you need, whether it is clothes to wear, food to eat, drinks to drink, medicine for illness, whatever you need, I will give it to you. In seven days, come to my house, and I will give you clothes, food, medicine, and whatever you desire according to your wishes."
