I was robbed and then caught by the king, who sentenced me to death according to the law. At that time, the law of that king's country stipulated that after killing a robber, the robber's corpse and living wife should be buried together. I was buried with jewelry, which was seen by others, and soon after, because others wanted my jewelry, they dug up the tomb at night, took me away and took me as a wife, and that tomb robber was also caught by the king not long after and sentenced to death according to the law. The national law stipulated that the robber's wife should also be buried alive with the corpse. Not long after that, a hungry wolf ate the corpse and came out, and I was able to escape from there, wandering around in a daze as if drunk, and met many people. I said to those people: I am completely tormented by extreme suffering, and now I want a place of peace without sorrow. Then, a householder Brahmin, out of compassion for me, said to me: If you enter the Dharma of Shakyamuni Buddha, there will be no cause for affliction, and it will be very peaceful. I heard that. After hearing those words, I felt great joy. I went to the Bhikkhuni Mahāprajāpatī Gautamī (梵文天城体:महाप्रजावती गौतमी,梵文罗马拟音:Mahāprajāpatī Gautamī,汉语字面意思:大生主·乔达弥) Galaava, and after going there, I became a nun. After becoming a nun, I gradually practiced and attained the fruit, becoming a person with the three knowledges, six supernormal powers, and eight liberations. That cause, that condition, when I had not become a nun, I experienced such great suffering. After experiencing that, because of that condition, after becoming a nun, I also attained the fruit. At that time, hearing the daughters of the Shakya clan say that, I felt great joy and obtained the pure Dharma eye in the Dharma. The assembly of Dharma listeners also made aspirations for Bodhi and returned with joy. At that time, the Buddha's aunt, the Bhikkhuni Mahāprajāpatī Gautamī (梵文天城体:महाप्रजावती गौतमी,梵文罗马拟音:Mahāprajāpatī Gautamī,汉语字面意思:大生主·乔达弥), said to all the women, including Bhikkhunis, Shikshamanas, Shramanerikas, and Upasikas: The Buddha's Dharma has the qualities of benefiting all beings and bringing happiness, and it is for attaining the three kinds of fruits.

In short, all sentient beings have the opportunity to enter the ocean of the Tathagata's Dharma, but we women are not allowed. This is because all women have many obscurations, and they are attached and cling to things they cannot give up. They are vulnerable to countless afflictive actions, have little wisdom and are attached, are lazy and have great pride. This body cannot be transformed into the cause of enlightenment, nor can it obtain the thirty-two marks. In samsara, one cannot use the supreme fruit of the wheel-turning king, the ten virtues, to gather many sentient beings. One cannot obtain the unsurpassed means of Brahma, nor can one urge the turning of the wheel of the Dharma for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings. Therefore, the Tathagata did not allow women to become students of the Dharma. Like clinging to the view of gods, demons, or evil, and always viewing all heretics as evil, wanting to make the true Dharma disappear, wanting to destroy the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, the Tathagata knew that women had faith in the Buddha's Dharma, but did not allow them to join. For the sake of all women, she repeatedly, even three times, asked the Tathagata to enter the Buddha's Dharma, but was not allowed. Having asked three times and not been allowed, and not having her wish fulfilled, she was oppressed by unhappiness and sorrow. Her eyes filled with tears, and she went out and left. On the way, she met Ananda, who asked her, "Mother, why are you so unhappy and sorrowful?" At that time, she said to Ananda, "I have faith and delight in the Buddha's Dharma, but I have asked the Tathagata three times and have not been allowed. Therefore, I am unhappy and sorrowful." Then Ananda said to me, "Mother, do not be unhappy. I will ask the Tathagata to allow you to enter the Buddha's teachings." Then I became very happy. After that, Ananda went to where the Buddha was and, upon arriving, prayed as follows:
