Through the power of great compassion, he went to a mountain called Rigandha, and a great wind arose. It blew the sandalwood grove on that mountain into powder, filling the entire sky, and the sandalwood powder also reached the mountain where the wild people lived. The sandalwood powder covered the wounds of the wild people, and all the wounds on their eyes, noses, and bodies were healed, and their blood turned into milk. Everyone said, "We are happy because the great compassion of the Buddha has healed all the wounds on our bodies. To repay the kindness of the Buddha, we generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." Having said this, everyone unanimously agreed that each of them would cause beings who have not obtained happiness to obtain happiness, beings who have not been liberated to be liberated, beings who have not reached the other shore to reach the other shore, and beings who have not obtained fruit to obtain fruit, and they vowed. Furthermore, like this, the great compassion and skillful means of the Tathagata are inconceivable. When the Buddha was dwelling in Shravasti, five hundred wild people lived in the mountain rocks, robbing and doing things that were not in accordance with the Dharma. At that time, the Tathagata, through the power of skillful means, transformed into a person, riding a fine woolen elephant, also wearing clothes on his body, and carrying bows, arrows, and weapons. The woolen elephant was also adorned with the seven precious jewels. My own body was also adorned with the seven precious jewels, and I went alone to the side of the mountain rocks where the wild people lived. At that time, the five hundred wild people saw such a person coming from afar and said to each other, "We have been wild people for so many years, but we have never seen such a person." At that time, a leader among the wild people asked, "What do you see?" They replied, "There is a person coming riding a fine woolen elephant. That person's clothes and ornaments are also made of the seven precious jewels, and the woolen elephant is also adorned with the seven precious jewels, and such a person, whose light shines upon heaven and earth, is coming from a distant place on the road. If we can catch that person, we will be rich for seven generations."

said that there were treasures. At that time, the leader of the wild men heard these words and was very happy, and he discussed like this: We will slowly approach and go to his side, and everyone will shoot arrows and capture him. Then five hundred wild men approached him, and together they made a sound and began to attack. At that time, the incarnate person drew his bow with a loving and compassionate heart and shot an arrow, and each of the five hundred wild men was hit by an arrow, experiencing unbearable pain, rolling on the ground, crying out loudly. They tried to pull out the arrow, but the arrow was very firm, and no matter how hard they tried, they could not pull it out. Then the five hundred wild men were afraid, thinking: Now we are going to be eaten by ghosts and die. Why is that? It is so strange that so many of us cannot defeat one person, so everyone agreed to say this: What are you among men? Are you a god, a dragon, or a yaksha? Or is it the power of mantra? One arrow shot and wounded five hundred people. Enduring the torment of pain, we beg you, for the sake of saving our lives, please pull out these poisonous arrows. We will never disobey you again. Then, the incarnate person said in verse: An axe cannot surpass a wound, among projectiles the short arrow is the best. Youth is not given by brute force, much learning will make it disappear. At that time, after the incarnate person said these verses, he transformed back into the body of the Buddha, emitting great light, illuminating all the lands of the ten directions, and among the beings touched by the light, the blind could see things, the disabled and hunchbacked people recovered, those with incomplete limbs became whole, and the insane also regained their memory. In short, all unpleasant things became pleasant. At that time, the Tathagata taught various kinds of Dharma to the five hundred wild men, and by encouraging, praising, and making them happy, the five hundred wild men were very happy after hearing the Dharma, and their wounds were also healed, their blood was also transformed into milk, and they generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment,
