It went to the seaside. The queen, seeing the swan fly away, thought that now she would surely hear news of whether her son was dead or alive. Then, that swan hovered in the sky above the sea, searching everywhere, but not finding the prince, it finally went to the land of King Lishiwa. From afar, it saw Prince Dedun staying in the king's palace. Then, that swan immediately landed and came to where the prince was, uttering pitiful cries and looking at the prince with great joy. Then, the prince took the letter from the swan's neck and respectfully bowed with his head. Then, he opened the letter and read it. After reading it, he realized that the king and queen missed the prince day and night, constantly crying, so much so that their eyes had gone blind. Then, Prince Dedun wrote in detail what had happened in the letter, and again tied it to the swan's neck and released it. Then, the swan flew back to Varanasi with great joy, returning to the king father and queen mother there. The king, seeing the letter arrive, was overjoyed and ecstatic, filled with immeasurable joy. He also realized that Prince Dedun had been stolen by the wicked and had also been robbed of jewels, suffering much hardship. Then, the king father immediately seized the wicked one, bound his hands and feet, chained his neck, and threw him into prison. Then, he sent a messenger to King Lishiwa, questioning why he had detained the prince, causing us such grief. Then, King Lishiwa, being afraid, adorned Prince Dedun with clothes and ornaments and placed him at the border, pretending to send him as a messenger, saying that Prince Dedun had returned from the sea and was now arriving here, just as a messenger would come. At that time, King Lishiwa swept clean all the places from which the prince had come, erected flags, banners, and parasols, rang bells, beat drums, and played various kinds of music. From afar, the king himself, with his retinue, welcomed the prince from within the palace, gave his daughter in marriage to him, and then sent him back to Varanasi.

The king and queen of Varanasi, upon hearing the news of the prince's return, were overjoyed and rode on the finest Indian elephant to greet the prince. At the welcoming site, they swept with flags and brooms, lit incense, hung banners, flags, and parasols, and played various musical instruments. All the male residents living there, upon hearing that Prince Gedun had safely returned from the ocean, were overjoyed and together welcomed the prince. Then, Prince Gedun bowed his head at the feet of his father the king and his mother the queen. The king and queen, being blind, could not see the prince, so they touched him with their hands and asked, "Are you my son Gedun? I have been constantly thinking of you and have become like this due to grief." The prince bowed to his father the king and his mother the queen, and then raised his hand to greet the various minor kings, ministers, and the people, and cheered loudly. He said, "Although I am afflicted, I will return because of your merits." Then, Prince Gedun asked his father the king, "Where is my brother Ngedon now? Where is he?" The king replied, "Do not ask about him. That sinful one is currently in prison and cannot be released." Prince Gedun requested, "Please allow me to meet Ngedon." He cried and pleaded like this two or three times, and the king could not refuse, so he released Ngedon from the prison. He requested that the chains and bonds on Ngedon's hands and feet be removed. Then, he rescued Ngedon from the prison, embraced him, and comforted him with gentle words, saying, "Are you in great distress?" Then he asked two or three times, "Where is the precious jewel that you took?" Ngedon replied, "It is buried beneath the old site." Then, Prince Gedun dug up the jewel from that place and took it. Then, he came before his father the king and his mother the queen, and burned good incense for the precious jewel, knelt down, and made this aspiration: "If this is truly a wish-fulfilling jewel, then may my father the king and mother...
