我（问）：你是谁的人？回答说：我是个瞎子乞丐。国王的女儿看见那个瞎子，就对他产生了爱慕之心，不忍心抛弃他。国王派人去叫女儿，但她不去。把食物和饮料送到这里来，我要和这个瞎子一起吃。就这样和瞎子一起吃了饭，然后对国王这样说道：请您把这个瞎子赐给我吧。如果把他赐给我，我的心就会满足。国王说：女儿，你是不是被鬼神迷惑了？还是疯了？还是情迷心窍了？为什么要和那个瞎子在一起？你不知道吗？以前波罗奈国的国王为儿子德顿娶妻，并把她布施出去，现在王子出海未归，为什么你要嫁给一个乞丐呢？女儿回答说：即使是这样，即使失去生命，我也不会抛弃这个瞎子。国王听到这话，没有反驳女儿，而是叫来瞎子，把他安置在王宫里一个僻静的地方。然后国王的女儿走到瞎子面前，这样说道：你知道吗？现在我要和你结为夫妻。德顿说：你是谁的女儿，竟然想和我结为夫妻？回答说：我是国王利希巴的女儿。德顿说：你是国王的女儿，而我是一个乞丐，我们怎么能互相尊重呢？妻子说：我真心实意地侍奉你，不会违背你的意愿。就这样，他们一起生活了九十天，有一天，妻子没有告诉家人就出去了，过了很久才回来。德顿问妻子：你偷偷地去了哪里？你没有告诉我，去了哪里，又从哪里回来？妻子说：我没有偷偷地去。德顿说：你是否隐瞒，谁知道呢？妻子不高兴，感到失望，眼里含着泪水，这样说道并发誓：如果我偷偷地离开你，你的双眼将永远复明。

The king sent for his daughter, but she would not go. Bring food and drink here, I will eat with this blind man. Having eaten with the blind man, she said to the king: Please grant me this blind man. If you grant him to me, my heart will be satisfied. The king said: Daughter, are you possessed by a demon? Or are you mad? Or are you infatuated? Why are you with that blind man? Don't you know? In the past, the king of Varanasi took a wife for his son Deva Datta and gave her away in charity, and now the prince has gone to sea and has not returned, why do you think of marrying a beggar? The daughter replied: Even so, even if I lose my life, I will not abandon this blind man. Hearing this, the king did not refute his daughter, but summoned the blind man and placed him in a secluded place in the palace. Then the king's daughter went to the blind man and said: Do you know? Now I will be your wife. Deva Datta said: Whose daughter are you, that you think of marrying me? She replied: I am the daughter of King Lishiba. Deva Datta said: You are the king's daughter, and I am a beggar, how can we respect each other? The wife said: I will sincerely serve you and will not go against your will. Thus, they lived together for ninety days, and one day the wife went out without telling her family, and returned after a long time. Deva Datta asked his wife: Where did you secretly go? You didn't tell me, where did you go, and from where did you return? The wife said: I did not go secretly. Deva Datta said: Whether you hide it or not, who knows? The wife was unhappy, felt disappointed, and with tears in her eyes, she said and vowed: If I have secretly left you, may your eyes be healed forever.

说：“为什么你称呼一个乞丐为王子善施？” 女孩回答说：“不是这样的，如果国王不相信，怎么会允许观看呢？” 国王一看，立刻意识到是王子善施。 这样意识到后，惊慌地说：“如果瓦拉纳西的国王听说了，我们就要受罚了。” 于是说：“我以前不知道王子善施是王子，我忏悔我的过错。” 王子说：“这没有过错，把这个给国王的 牧牛人布施了吧。” 之后，国王利湿婆给牧牛人黄金、白银、珍宝、衣服、食物和饮料，还额外给了五百头牛。 之后，牧牛人非常高兴，对王子善施说：“我做了什么有益的恩惠，您给了我这么多的财富和珍宝？” 他在众人之中大声宣扬，虽然秘密地布施，但恩惠却显而易见，布施的果报成熟是如此的广大。 当时，许多眷属都非常高兴，生起了喜欢布施的心。 凡是想要成佛的人，都应该对一切众生布施，诸神也赞叹和赞美这个人，就这样成就了。 当时，王子善施没有进入大海，而是住在宫殿里，养了一只白色的天鹅，总是和它在一起，吃、喝、行走、居住、坐卧都总是在一起。 之后，王后走到天鹅的面前，这样说道：“王子在的时候，你总是和他在一起，现在去了大海，是死是活都不知道，难道你不思念王子吗？” 天鹅听到这句话，发出叫声，在地上打滚，眼睛里充满了泪水，对王后这样说道：“王后，如果允许我去寻找王子，我就去。” 于是当时王后写了信，系在天鹅的脖子上，派它去寻找王子。 之后，天鹅打听王子去了哪里，然后飞向天空。

As soon as the king looked, he realized it was Prince Generous Giver. Having realized this, he was alarmed and said, "If the king of Varanasi hears of this, we will be punished." Then he said, "I did not know before that Prince Generous Giver was a prince, and I confess my fault." The prince said, "There is no fault in this. Give alms to the king's cowherd." Then King Lishivara gave the cowherd gold, silver, jewels, clothes, food, and drink, and also gave five hundred cows as an extra gift. Then the cowherd was very happy and said to Prince Generous Giver, "What beneficial favor have I done that you have given me so much wealth and jewels?" He proclaimed loudly among the people that although he had given alms secretly, the favor had become manifest, and the ripening of the fruit of giving was so great. At that time, many attendants were very happy and developed a mind that rejoiced in giving. Whoever desires to become a Buddha should give to all beings. The gods also praised and extolled that person, and thus it was accomplished. At that time, Prince Generous Giver, not having entered the ocean, was staying in the palace, raising a white swan, always accompanying it, eating, drinking, walking, staying, sitting, and sleeping always together. Then the queen went to the swan and said, "When the prince was here, you were always with him. Now that he has gone to the ocean, whether he is dead or alive, I do not know. Do you not miss the prince?" When the swan heard these words, it cried out, rolled on the ground, and with tears filling its eyes, said to the queen, "Queen, if you command me to search for the prince, I will go." Then the queen wrote a letter, tied it around the swan's neck, and sent it to search for the prince. Then the swan asked where the prince had gone and flew into the sky.
