All beings are also the same. Therefore, a Bodhisattva, even if he loses his body and life, will not commit the act of taking the life of another. Just as I protect and attend to my possessions, such as wealth, grain, clothing, food, drink, cattle, vehicles, conveyances, land, cities, wives, sons, and even the parts of my body, so it is with all beings. Just as I do not like to be taken and robbed by others, so it is with all beings. Therefore, a Bodhisattva, even if he loses his own body and life, will not generate the thought of robbing beings of their wealth, clothing, food, drink, and possessions. Just as I do not want others to treat my sacred form, such as a sister, wife, or maidservant, inappropriately, so it is with all beings. Therefore, a Bodhisattva, even if he loses his own body and life, will not generate evil thoughts towards the sacred form of another, let alone inappropriate evil deeds. Just as I do not like to be slandered and spoken to harshly, which leads to conflict, so it is with all beings. Therefore, a Bodhisattva, even if he loses his own body and life, will not speak falsely or speak words that cause conflict. Just as I do not like to be struck with stones or sticks, whipped, or oppressed, so it is with all beings. Therefore, a Bodhisattva, even if he loses his own body and life, will not harm beings with acts of striking with stones or sticks, whipping, or cutting. Just as I do not like to be harmed by iron chains, confinement, weapons, capture, binding, and imprisonment, so it is with all beings. Therefore, a Bodhisattva, even if he loses his body and life, will not harm others with harms such as iron chains, confinement, capture, and binding. Just as I do not like to be despised, controlled, violated, arrogantly oppressed, and degraded by others, so it is with all beings. Therefore, a Bodhisattva, even if he loses his own body and life,

Also, one should not harm sentient beings due to race in an improper manner. Just as others respect and worship me, or praise me with pleasant words, just as I delight in happiness, so too should I give clothes, food, drink, bedding, medicine for ailments, and all comfortable items to sentient beings. If I undertake a great task, or for the sake of the Buddha, or for the sake of the Dharma, or for the sake of the Sangha, but I am unable to complete it due to lack of ability, and thus I am unhappy and tormented by sorrow, if a wise and intelligent person sees that I am unhappy and sorrowful because the task I undertook was not accomplished, they would say to me: 'Son of good family, do not be unhappy. I will be your companion in accomplishing the task, and I will accomplish the task as you wish.' Hearing this, a mind of great joy will arise. Therefore, I should help sentient beings in the tasks that accomplish benefit and happiness. If I am harmed by a king, a thief, water, or fire, or if I am seized, beaten, or imprisoned by ministers, etc., and thus I am unhappy and tormented by sorrow, if a wise and intelligent person sees me tormented by sorrow in that way, they would say to me with pleasant and melodious words: 'Do not be sorrowful, I will entreat the king or the great minister for your sake, and if necessary, I will give wealth, or by various means, I will liberate you from the suffering of unhappiness.' Hearing those words, just hearing those words, my mind will be joyful. Therefore, a Bodhisattva should diligently study all arts and crafts that should be learned, until they reach the point of mastery. For example, they should skillfully study the fields of knowledge that should be learned, such as the arts, crafts, music, games, numbers, mathematics, illusion spells, medicine, elephants, cattle, horses, vehicles, the enemy's dharma, warfare, investigation, etc. Thus, having skillfully learned all arts, they will not act contrary to the minds of many people, kings, and great ministers, etc. That which
