Adorned all around with... With a sword like the leaf of a blue utpala flower, he cut and cut and gave away his own head as if it were grass. Furthermore, the greatly wise one, when I was also born as King Shibi, saw a helpless pigeon, terrified and frightened by a hawk, suffering and with a bewildered face. Seeing the helpless one coming for refuge, with a heart trembling with supreme compassion, in order to completely protect and redeem the pigeon from the hawk, he cut and cut and gave away his own flesh. Furthermore, in order to manifest the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, even if I had given away thousands of feet, hands, children, and wives in this very place, no one would have hindered me. Therefore, it should be understood in this way: do not hinder me from begging for my body. Then, the great minister, the greatly wise one, having generated great miraculous power of the Bodhisattva, generated great faith in the Bodhisattva. Then, he became speechless and, with waves of tears repeatedly covering his face, thought: Alas! These worldly people are truly unfortunate! Soon, this king of Dharma will be abandoned. Alas! The banner of Dharma will fall. The lamp of Dharma will be extinguished. The lamp of Dharma will disappear. The drum of Dharma will be broken. The ocean of Dharma will dry up. The mountain of Dharma will collapse. The city of Dharma will be submerged. The ship of Dharma will sink. The tree of Dharma is uprooted, alas, how painful! This is the father of all the world, the one who benefits all sentient beings. Having been destroyed by the wheel of time, the great king will be gone. Because in this unbearable time, countless signs of excellence have not collapsed, is the great essence of the heart, like a great vajra? The auspicious time has completely passed, the unbearable time is near. Many wise people and the world will also be destroyed. Just as it has been seen, with many signs of the earth, it can be determined that before long, the lion king will be gone. This stainless sun among men, so very difficult to find, will also set. Before long, the world...

Here, non-appearance will arise. For the benefit of all sentient beings, this great king is no more. If the world does not appear from now on, who will protect this world? Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, as he was made foolish, became slightly saddened and sawed it with a saw. Then, the Bodhisattva said kindly to the two carpenters: "Good, you two quickly saw and cut off half of my body." If this Brahmin dies, my labor will not be fruitless. Then, the two carpenters, being completely bewildered by the power of Indra, wailed with distressed voices, and while the great crowd was blocking them, the Bodhisattva began to saw his own body with a saw. Then, the Bodhisattva, desiring enlightenment in his mind, with a joyful heart, thought that he would fulfill the hope in his heart, and remained silent and speechless. Then, from the navel of the Bodhisattva's body, when it was cut with a saw, a large stream of blood flowed out. Then, the minister, Great Wisdom, saw the blood flowing, oppressed by the intense feeling of being cut by the saw, and thinking that killing a god is painful, he became desperate and immediately fainted and fell to the ground. The gods dwelling in the middle of the sky, and the dragons, and the yakshas, and the gandharvas, and the asuras, and the garudas, and the kinnaras, and the great belly-goers, were also oppressed by intense sorrow and began to weep, and they shed tears of weeping. Then, the great crowd, thinking, "What is this?" began to look up, and saw hundreds of thousands of gods weeping. Then, the majority of the great crowd, being oppressed by intense sorrow, seeing the Bodhisattva in such a state of extreme suffering, thinking, "Alas, killing a god is painful!" became completely bewildered. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, seeing these hundreds of thousands of beings oppressed by the Bodhisattva's sorrow, very pitiful and dejected, quickly thought with a compassionate heart of himself.

O Great One, being amiable to all sentient beings, the compassionate one, giving to all, it is not good to universally combine such intense feeling of karma on this body. Otherwise, now, how can we act in such a way that life does not perish? Then, the two carpenter Bodhisattvas, sawing with a saw, cutting the body with a sharp saw, tormented by intense feelings, possessing steadfast strength, generated loving-kindness towards the beggar and thought: I have understood the nature of the faults of samsara, possessing firm and steadfast diligence, if such suffering arises from cutting one side of the body, then most of the previous sentient beings were born in hell, tormented by extremely painful feelings, what need is there to mention it? Then the Bodhisattva, following all sentient beings,
