ལ་བྱམས་པའི་སེམས་སུ་གྱུར་ཏོ། །གཞོན་ནུ་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་ཆེ་ཞིང་མཐུ་ཆེ་བ་དེ་བཙས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ཚེ་རབས་དྲན་ཏེ། ཕྱོགས་བཞིར་བལྟས་ནས་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་དེ་སྨྲས་པ། བསོད་ནམས་བསགས་ན་བདེ་བར་འགྱུར། །དེ་ཕྱིར་མི་ཡིས་བསོད་ནམས་བྱ། །དེ་ཡང་ཡང་དང་ཡང་དུ་བྱ། །དེ་ཉིད་ལ་ནི་འདུན་པར་བྱ། །ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་གནས་པའི་ལྷ་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་ཆེ་ཞིང་མཐུ་ཆེ་བ་ཞིག་གིས་བསོད་ནམས་དག་གི་ཤིན་ཏུ་རྨད་དུ་བྱུང་བ་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཡིད་དུ་འོང་བ་རྣམ་པར་གཡོ་བ་དེ་མཐོང་ནས་སེམས་ཡང་དག་པར་དགའ་བར་གྱུར་ཏེ། བསོད་ནམས་དག་གི་ཆེ་བ་ཉིད་བསྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར་དེའི་ཚེ་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་དེ་སྨྲས་པ། བསོད་ནམས་དག་གི་གཡོ་བ་ལྟོས། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་བཞི་རྣམས་དང་། །སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་དབང་པོར་བཅས། །བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱིས་ནི་དེའི་དབང་བྱས། །ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་དེ་བཙུན་མོའི་འཁོར་དང་། སྲས་དང་། བློན་པོ་དང་། ཕོ་བྲང་འཁོར་གྱི་མི་དང་། ཡུལ་གྱི་མི་དང་བཅས་པས་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དེ་དག་མཐོང་ནས་ཡ་མཚན་གྱིས་མིག་རྒྱས་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། མཆོག་ཏུ་ཡ་མཚན་དུ་གྱུར་ནས། ཀྱེ་མ་གཞོན་ནུའི་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱི་སྟོབས། ཀྱེ་མ་གཞོན་ནུའི་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱིས་ཆེར་གྲགས་པ་འདི་ལྟར་འདི་མིར་གྱུར་དུ་ཟིན་ཀྱང་འདི་ལྟ་བུར་ལྷའི་འབྱོར་པ་རྒྱས་པ་བྱུང་བར་གྱུར་པ་འདི་ནི་ཡ་མཚན་ཆེའོ་ཞེས་ཆེད་དུ་བརྗོད་པ་ཆེད་དུ་བརྗོད་དོ། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་སེམས་རབ་ཏུ་དགའ་ཞིང་བུ་སྙིང་དུ་སྡུག་ནས་དཀོར་པ་རྣམས་ལ་བསྒོ་སྟེ། བཀའ་སྙན་གསོལ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཕྱིར་རྒྱལ་པོའི་ར་བར་གསེར་དངུལ་གྱི་ཕུང་པོ་སྤུངས་ནས་སྦྱིན་པ་དག་བྱིན་ཏེ་བསོད་ནམས་དག་བྱས་སོ། །ནོར་མེད་པ་དུ་མ་ནི་ནོར་དང་ལྡན་པ་ལ་བཀོད་དོ། །དེ་ནས་རེ་ཞིག་ན་འབྱོར་པ་ཆེན་པོ་རྒྱས་པས་དེ་བཙས་པའི་བཙས་སྟོན་ཆེན་པོ་ བྱས་ནས་མིང་འདོགས་པར་བྱེད་དེ། གཞོན་ནུའི་མིང་ཅིར་གདགས་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དེ་ནས་བློན་པོ་དག་གིས་གསོལ་པ། ལྷ་གང་གི་སླད་དུ་སྲས་འདི་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱི་སྟོབས་རྒྱས་ཤིང་། དེ་བཙས་པ་ན་འདི་ལྟ་བུར་ལྷའི་འབྱོར་པ་བྱུང་བར་གྱུར་པས་ན། དེའི་ཕྱིར་སྲས་འདིའི་མཚན་ནི་བསོད་ནམས་སྟོབས་ཞེས་གདགས་པའི་རིགས་སོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དེ་ནས་དེའི་མིང་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱི་སྟོབས་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་གཞོན་ནུ་བསོད་ནམས་སྟོབས་པང་ན་འཚོ་བའི་མ་མ་གཉིས་དང་ནུ་མ་སྣུན་པའི་མ་མ་གཉིས་དང་། དྲི་མ་འཁྲུ་བའི་མ་མ་གཉིས་དང་། རྩེ་བའི་མ་མ་གཉིས་ཏེ་མ་མ་བརྒྱད་ལ་གཏ

心中充满了慈爱。那位具有大神力和大威力的年轻人，刚一出生就回忆起了前世，向四方观看后，以偈颂说道：积累福德能得安乐，因此人们应当行善，应当反复行善，应当对此生起向往。说完之后，居住在空中的一位具有大神力和大威力的天神，看到那些极其稀有、极其悦意、四处摇曳的福德，心中无比欢喜，为了显示福德的伟大，当时以偈颂说道：看啊，福德在摇曳！四大天王和三十三天的主宰，都被福德所掌控。说完之后，国王看到王妃眷属、王子、大臣、宫廷侍从、以及国民们所拥有的圆满富足，惊讶得目瞪口呆，极其惊叹地说：哎呀，年轻人的福德之力！哎呀，年轻人的福德如此广为人知！即使他已经转生为人，却仍然拥有如此兴盛的天神财富，这真是太神奇了！如此赞叹，再三赞叹。之后，国王心中无比喜悦，因为疼爱儿子，于是吩咐库藏官，为了庆祝喜讯，在王宫的院子里堆积金银如山，广行布施，积攒福德。许多贫困的人因此变得富有。之后，过了一段时间，因为财富极大增长，于是为他举行盛大的诞生庆典，并为他取名。他们说道：这年轻人叫什么名字好呢？大臣们禀告道：陛下，因为这个王子，福德之力才得以增长，而且他一出生就拥有如此兴盛的天神财富。因此，给这位王子取名为福德力是合适的。之后，他的名字就被命名为福德力。之后，年轻的福德力由两位在膝上养育的乳母，两位喂奶的乳母，两位清洗污垢的乳母，两位嬉戏玩耍的乳母，总共八位乳母来照料。

His heart was filled with loving-kindness. That young man, possessing great miraculous power and great might, immediately remembered his past lives upon being born. He looked in the four directions and spoke in verse: Accumulating merit leads to happiness. Therefore, people should perform meritorious deeds. They should do it again and again. They should aspire to it. After he spoke, a deity dwelling in the sky, possessing great miraculous power and great might, saw the exceedingly marvelous, exceedingly pleasing, and vibrantly moving merits. His mind became exceedingly joyful, and in order to demonstrate the greatness of those merits, he spoke in verse at that time: Behold the vibration of merits! The four great kings and the lord of the thirty-three, are controlled by merit. After he spoke, the king, along with his queen's retinue, his son, ministers, palace attendants, and the people of the country, saw those perfections and his eyes widened with amazement. He became exceedingly astonished and exclaimed: Alas, the power of the young man's merit! Alas, the fame of the young man's merit is so great! Even though he has been born as a human, he has come to have such flourishing divine wealth. This is truly amazing! He praised it repeatedly. Then, the king, with a very joyful heart and affection for his son, instructed the treasurers to pile up heaps of gold and silver in the palace courtyard for the sake of the joyous news, and he gave generous donations, thus accumulating merit. Many who were without wealth were provided with wealth. After some time, because of the great increase in wealth, they held a grand birth celebration for him and proceeded to name him. They said, "What name should we give the young man?" Then the ministers reported, "O god, because of this prince, the power of merit has increased, and when he was born, he came to have such flourishing divine wealth. Therefore, it is fitting to name this prince 'Power of Merit.'" Then his name was given as Power of Merit. Then the young Power of Merit was entrusted to eight nurses: two nurses who nurtured him on their laps, two nurses who suckled him, two nurses who washed away impurities, and two nurses who played with him.
