Where, wasting that wealth does not change. Whatever is in the world, what is unpleasant, disliked, and useless, likewise, all the perverted falls, all of these arise from not having merit. Merit can protect, merit can encourage diligence, merit can shield from heat and cold, merit can prevent evil rain. Merit is like a wish-fulfilling cow to be milked, a wish-fulfilling jewel is made by merit, merit is like a wish-fulfilling tree, all desired wishes ripen into fruit. Merit can obtain blessings, merit can bring desired glory, merit can make the mind steadfast, a person with merit is born into a high family. Merit can gain fame, merit can make one learned, vast and desirable is the power of merit, merit can retain what is heard. Death without illness is due to merit, merit can conquer the lord of death, those who are extremely afraid of the lord of death, merit does not cause fear. Even the gods who dwell in immeasurable palaces, the heavenly paradise is due to merit, the Thirty-three Gods are due to merit, likewise, the Gods of No Strife are due to merit. The Gods of Tushita are due to merit, the Gods of Delightful Transformation are also the same, the Gods of Enjoying Transformations are due to merit, the Gods of Controlling Others' Creations are also the same. Merit is like the Great Brahma, revered by hundreds of thousands of gods, of the thousands of Brahma's worlds, one becomes the master of freedom. Merit can always abide in the nine perfections of all desires, even inanimate objects, merit can make them free. King Sonam Tob, showing this life and the next as they truly are, when he spoke such captivating words, many ordinary people relied on merit. Thereafter, King Sonam Tob, in order to make the many ordinary people cherish merit even more, looked to the sky, generated the mind of enlightenment, and spoke these words: Alas, may a rain of various heavenly jewels and a rain of clothes fall abundantly both inside and outside this royal palace. Monks, as soon as King Sonam Tob generated this thought, heavenly clothes fell from the sky.
