There, the noble ones, by the nature of Dharma, three times during the day and three times during the night, with the Buddha's eye, observe the world: Who is declining? Who is prospering? Who is in poverty? Who has become miserable? Who is accompanied by harm? Who is accompanied by poverty, misery, and harm? Who is inclined towards the evil realms? Who is falling into the evil realms? Who has fallen into the evil realms? Who should I rescue from the evil realms and place in the heavens, liberation, and fruition? Who is sinking in the swamp of desire, should be pulled out by the hand? Who does not have the seven noble riches, should be made to possess the power of the seven noble riches? Who has not generated roots of virtue, should be made to generate them? Who has already generated roots of virtue, should be made to fully ripen them? Who has fully ripened, should be liberated? Such a wisdom gaze arises in their minds. Here it is said: The ocean is the abode of aquatic creatures, the waves of time may pass, but for the beings to be tamed, the Buddha's season of teaching never passes. Then, the Blessed One, seeing that the time for taming Bhadradatta had come, went forth by means of miraculous power and taught such a Dharma that she would realize the Four Noble Truths. Having heard this, Bhadradatta attained the fruit of non-return and also accomplished clairvoyance. Then, Bhadradatta passed away from the desire realm, obtained the antidote, and came to abide in the fearless state. Then, after some time, seven days had passed, and the time had come to take a bride. The king's son and hundreds and thousands of people gathered at the sacrificial altar. The Brahmin priest gave unhusked rice, ghee, and unground mustard seeds. Then, as the boy and girl's hands were being joined, Bhadradatta, like a king of swans spreading its wings, manifestly rose into the sky and showed various miracles, which were seen by many beings. Then, the king of Kosala, King Prasenajit, the king given by Brahma, the king's son Bhadradatta, and other beings who had come to watch were greatly amazed and prostrated at her feet and prayed: Daughter, you have directly manifested such a Dharma

Karma. Ah, please tolerate this act of doing as you please. Then, the Well-Doer Mother descended from the sky and sat among many people, teaching the Dharma in such a way that whatever Dharma was heard, hundreds of thousands of beings would see the truth. Then, the daughter, the Well-Doer Mother, reported to her father and went to the Blessed One, who entrusted her to the great Prajāvatī (Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रजावती, Sanskrit Romanization: Prajāvatī, Chinese literal meaning: Mistress of Progeny). Then, she renounced and, through diligence, practice, and effort, realized that this wheel of the five-eyed cycle of existence is wavering and unstable, thereby thoroughly understanding that all conditioned phenomena are of the nature of destruction, falling, scattering, and disintegration. Having abandoned all defilements, she directly realized the state of an Arhat. Having become an Arhat free from desire in the three realms, she possessed an equanimous mind in which gold and dung were equal, and the sky and the palm of her hand were indistinguishable. She became as cool as if soaked in sandalwood, destroyed the shell of ignorance with wisdom, and obtained wisdom, supernormal powers, and discriminating awareness. She did not look to the gains, attachments, and honors of existence. She became an object of offering, remembrance, and reverence by the gods and their retinues. Then, the Blessed One said to the monks: Monks, among my female disciples who are great in wisdom and great in eloquence, this is the best, namely, this nun, the Well-Doer Mother. Then, the monks became doubtful and asked the Buddha, the Blessed One, who cuts off all doubts: Venerable One, what deeds did the Well-Doer Mother do that she was shown to be the best of those who are great in wisdom and great in eloquence? The Blessed One said: Monks, the Well-Doer Mother herself, in other past lives, accumulated merit and possessed the completion of conditions, appearing like a hero, and did deeds that would not be devoured by demons, and accumulated those deeds. Who else could experience those deeds that the Well-Doer Mother herself did and accumulated? Monks, the deeds that have been done and accumulated will not mature in the external realm of earth, nor will they mature in the realm of water, fire, or wind.
