There was a good person who had a temple built and filled it with all kinds of things, and offered it to the Blessed One together with the assembly of Śrāvakas. Also, during the time of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Light, he renounced and meditated on loving-kindness for ten thousand years. Monks, what do you think? The one who was the king's daughter at that time is this Kāśī Beautiful One. Because she offered the temple, she became beautiful, pleasing to look at, and lovely. Because she renounced during the time of the Blessed One Light and meditated on loving-kindness for ten thousand years, she has now realized Arhatship. Monks, therefore, those actions that are definitely dark will definitely have dark results. Those actions that are definitely white will definitely have white results. Mixed actions will have mixed results. Monks, therefore, abandon those actions that are definitely dark and mixed, and dedicate yourselves only to those actions that are definitely white. Monks, you should train yourselves in this way. After the Blessed One spoke these words, the monks rejoiced and greatly praised what the Blessed One had said. Called "Pearl," the Buddha, the Blessed One, was honored, respected, regarded as a teacher, depicted in images, and offered to by kings, great ministers, wealthy people, palace attendants, merchants, captains, gods, nāgas, yakṣas, asuras, garuḍas, kinnaras, and mahoragas. The Buddha, the Blessed One, who was offered to and known by gods, nāgas, yakṣas, asuras, garuḍas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, possessed great merit and obtained robes, food, bedding, seats, medicines, and medical supplies. He resided in Śrāvastī with the assembly of Śrāvakas, in the Jeta Grove of Prince Jeta, in the Anāthapiṇḍada's Garden.

So! At that time, in Shravasti, there lived a merchant named Gyalwa, who was rich and possessed great wealth, enjoying immense prosperity, being completely possessed, vast and extensive, endowed with the wealth of Vaishravana (Tibetan: རྣམ་ཐོས་ཀྱི་བུ།, Sanskrit: वैश्रवण, Vaiśravaṇa, meaning "Son of Renown"), rivaling the wealth of Vaishravana. He took a wife from his own clan, and together they played and rejoiced, feeling happy and content. Later, as he played and rejoiced, his wife became pregnant. When she was eight or nine months pregnant, she gave birth to a daughter, who was beautiful in form, pleasing to behold, and adorned with a pearl necklace on her head. Then, they held a celebration for her birth and began to name the girl, saying, "What name should we give this girl?" The relatives said, "Since this girl was born with a pearl necklace on her head, therefore, we should name this girl Pearl (Tibetan: མུ་ཏིག)." Then, they entrusted the pearl girl to eight nurses: two to raise her on their laps, two to nurse her, two to clean her dirt, and two to play with her. These eight nurses nurtured her with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, the essence of butter, and other various excellent items, causing her to grow rapidly like a lotus in a lake. Later, as the pearl girl gradually grew up, the pearl necklace on her head, if touched, would fall off and be produced. Then, this girl saw the poor and destitute and distributed wealth to them. When she reached the age of marriage, princes, sons of ministers, and many sons of merchants came to ask for her hand. Then, her father entered a room of sorrow, holding his hands to his head, thinking, 'If I give her to one, the others will become my enemies.' He felt depressed in his heart. Then, the daughter asked her father, 'Father, why are you so sad?' Then, he recounted all that had happened. Then, the daughter said, 'Father, I do not seek worldly desires, but I desire to renounce in the teachings of the Blessed One (Tibetan: བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས།, Sanskrit: Bhagavan, meaning "Lord").' Later, one day, the youngest son of Anathapindika (Tibetan: མགོན་མེད་ཟས་སྦྱིན།), named Rabduk...
