After that, Chu Smad asked about the faith of the relatives from house to house, and the next day invited the Buddha and the Sangha of monks to a meal. When it was time for noon, the Buddha and the Sangha of monks also gathered. That hungry ghost woman was also sitting in front of the patron. The hundreds of thousands of beings who had gathered saw that hungry ghost woman. They saw the ugly body of that hungry ghost woman and felt very sad, and their minds were filled with joy towards the Blessed One. After that, the venerable Chu Smad satisfied the Buddha and the Sangha of monks with delicious food, and requested that the lineage of merit be recited for the sake of that hungry ghost woman. After that, the Blessed One himself spoke the lineage of giving with five-limbed speech: "Whatever merit there is from this giving, may it go to the hungry ghost as a shadow. May she quickly be liberated from the terrible world of hungry ghosts!" Thus he spoke. After that, the Blessed One, based on that foundation, taught the Dharma that was in accordance with that to that hungry ghost woman and many people. Hundreds of thousands of beings heard that and realized the truth. That hungry ghost woman also became happy and died and was reborn as a hungry ghost with great magical powers. The venerable Chu Smad also knew that she had been reborn as a hungry ghost with great magical powers. After that, the venerable Chu Smad said, "Mother, now with your power, please completely practice giving!" The hungry ghost with great magical powers said, "Son, I do not like giving, I cannot do it." After that, the venerable Chu Smad said to the hungry ghost with great magical powers, "The darkness of attachment has completely blinded your eyes, you have created the world of hungry ghosts. Your great skeleton has no flesh, bones, skin, and wrinkles are still there." Thus he said. After that, the venerable Chu Smad scolded and spoke many times, and after that he obtained a piece of cloth from her. After that, Chu Smad offered it to the Sangha. The monk who bought a piece of cloth from the Sangha put it on the clothes rack. After that, that hungry ghost woman came at night and stole it. After that, that monk blamed the venerable Chu Smad, and Chu Smad went.

Then that hungry ghost woman scolded and took it back and gave it to him. Likewise, after stealing from that monk three times, the venerable Water End took it back and gave it to him. After that monk also passed away, he spread a seat for the sake of the Sangha of monks from the four directions. After that, he never stole again. Therefore, seeing beings so blinded by stinginess, in order to prevent such faults of that hungry ghost woman from occurring, one should strive to abandon stinginess. After the Blessed One spoke thus, those monks, gods, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, and others rejoiced and praised the words of the Blessed One. The blind one means that the Buddha, the Blessed One, was honored by kings, great ministers, wealthy people, palace attendants, merchants, captains, gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas. They respected him, regarded him as a teacher, made him an example, and made offerings to him. The Buddha, the Blessed One, who was offered to and known by gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, possessed great merit and obtained robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medical supplies. Together with the Sangha of Shravaka monks, he resided in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove of Anathapindika in the garden of Prince Jeta. Then, the venerable Delightful Deed, having put on his undergarment and robes in the morning, took his bowl and went to Shravasti for alms. After begging for alms in Shravasti, he ate his meal, refrained from taking leftovers, put down his bowl and robes, and went wandering in the realm of hungry ghosts. The venerable Delightful Deed saw a hungry ghost woman, like a burning tree stump, sitting blindly, covering herself with her own hair, her stomach as big as a mountain, her mouth as small as the eye of a needle, smelling foul like a graveyard, crows and vultures.
