Surpassing the four floods, with the soles of the feet of the four supports of miraculous power extremely firm, having been familiar with the four objects of gathering for a long time, fearless with the four fearlessnesses, proclaiming the great lion's roar of the supreme leader, completely abandoning the five hindrances, completely transcending the five realms of existence, possessing six branches, the six perfections (pāramitā) complete, abiding in the six things to be constantly abided in, rich with the flowers of the seven branches of enlightenment, teaching the eightfold path, skilled in the nine successive absorptions, possessing the ten powers, fame spreading in the ten directions, those who are far more superior than those who have power over a hundredfold and a thousandfold, according to the Dharma nature, three times during the day and three times during the night, with the Buddha's eye, they look at the world, who is declining? Who is prospering? Who is poor? Who is miserable? Who has harm? Who is poor, miserable, and has harm? Who is inclined to evil destinies? Who is falling into evil destinies? Who has fallen into evil destinies? Who shall I rescue from evil destinies and place in heaven, liberation, and fruition? Who shall I pull out of the mire of desire? Who shall I place in the dominion of the seven noble riches from not having the seven noble riches? Who shall I cause to generate from not having generated roots of virtue? Who shall I cause to fully mature from having already generated roots of virtue? Who shall I cause to be liberated from having already fully matured? Such is the wisdom that arises. Here it is said: The ocean is the abode of aquatic creatures, the waves of time may recede, but for the sons to be tamed, the Buddha does not miss the opportunity. Then, the Blessed One saw that the Brahmins had previously planted roots of virtue, had become capable of liberation, had found what was to be sought, looked inward to Nirvana, and looked outward from Samsara. Having seen these, he thought, 'Now, because they rely on bad friends, they have become hateful towards my teachings. I shall strive to tame them.' Then, the Blessed One transformed into the form of Indra, illuminating the sacrificial hall with divine light.

Manifested, and departed from there. Then, those Brahmins were delighted, satisfied, and extremely happy, rejoicing and feeling comfortable in their hearts. Holding their breath, they said: "Bhagavan, please depart, please depart. It is good that the Bhagavan has departed." Then, the Bhagavan, remaining in the form of Indra, sat on the prepared seat. Then, throughout all the cities of Rajagriha, the sound spread that the lord of the gods, Indra, had gone to make offerings and donations. Hearing this sound, hundreds of thousands of beings gathered. Then, the Bhagavan, knowing that the Brahmins had developed faith, made the form of Indra disappear and entered the form of the Buddha, and taught the Dharma that would lead to the realization of the Four Noble Truths. Having heard this, sixty-two thousand Brahmins, with the Vajra of Wisdom, shattered the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the 'aggregate of existence,' and directly realized the fruit of Stream-entry. Hundreds of thousands of beings also found faith in the Bhagavan. Then, those monks became doubtful, and in order to cut off all doubts, they asked the Buddha Bhagavan: "Venerable one, it is wonderful that these Brahmins, having met the Bhagavan in this way, have seen the truth, and that hundreds of thousands of beings have obtained great joy." The Bhagavan replied: "Monks, the Tathagata himself, in other past lives, has accumulated merit and possessed the conditions for accomplishment, appearing like crossing a difficult ford, and has done and accumulated actions that will not be wasted. Who else will experience those actions that I have done and accumulated? Monks, the actions that have been done and accumulated will not ripen in the external realm of earth, nor will they ripen in the realm of water, fire, or wind. The virtuous and non-virtuous actions that have been done and accumulated will only ripen in the aggregates, realms, and sources that are grasped. The actions of embodied beings will not be lost even after hundreds of eons. When the accumulation and the time are ripe, they will manifest as their own fruit. Monks, what happened in the past was:

Then, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, the knower of the world, the unsurpassed charioteer of beings to be tamed, the teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha, the Bhagavan named 'Subduing the Powerful,' appeared in the world. While traveling and wandering, he arrived at the outskirts of a royal city. That outskirts of the royal city was also occupied by non-Buddhists. Then, the king of the Kshatriya caste, who had been consecrated, heard that the perfectly enlightened Buddha 'Subduing the Powerful' had come to his country. Having heard this, he, who possessed great royal wealth and great royal power, went to where the perfectly enlightened Buddha 'Subduing the Powerful' was, and having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan, the perfectly enlightened Buddha 'Subduing the Powerful,' and sat on one side. Having sat on one side, the perfectly enlightened Buddha 'Subduing the Powerful' introduced the king of the Kshatriya caste, who had been consecrated, to the teachings that lead to the attainment of enlightenment. Then, the king of the Kshatriya caste, who had been consecrated, rose from his seat, arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and with his palms joined together respectfully towards the perfectly enlightened Buddha 'Subduing the Powerful,' he requested the perfectly enlightened Buddha 'Subduing the Powerful' as follows: "Bhagavan, I wish to offer robes, food, bedding, seats, medicine for the sick, and medical supplies to the Bhagavan. May the Bhagavan and the Sangha of monks stay here for three months?" The Bhagavan said: "Great king, in your country, are there any monasteries where monks who come suddenly and those who travel can stay?" The king said: "Bhagavan, although there are none now, if the Bhagavan permits, I will build a monastery for monks who come suddenly and those who travel." Then, that king, for the sake of the Tathagata,
