Having done and accumulated actions that will inevitably occur like a rush, who else will experience those actions that I myself have done and accumulated? Monks, the actions done and accumulated will not mature in the external realm of earth, nor will they mature in the realm of water, fire, or wind. The virtuous and non-virtuous actions done and accumulated will mature only in the aggregates, realms, and sources that have been taken. The actions of sentient beings will not be lost even in hundreds of eons. When they are accumulated and the time has come, they will ripen into fruit. Monks, in the past, in a bygone era, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the World, Guide of beings to be tamed, unsurpassed, teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha, the Bhagavan named Moon, appeared in the world. Then, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Moon, after wandering, came to the vicinity of a royal palace. The king, who was crowned from the royal lineage, heard that the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Moon had come to my country. Having heard this, possessing the great wealth of a king and the great power of a king, he went to where the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Moon was. Having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Moon and sat to one side. Having sat to one side, the king, who was crowned from the royal lineage, was established by the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Moon in the Dharma that leads to the attainment of enlightenment. Then, the king, who was crowned from the royal lineage, became joyful, rose from his seat, draped his upper garment over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with palms joined, prostrated towards the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Moon and requested the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Moon in this way: "Bhagavan, I will serve you with robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medical supplies."
