Furthermore, perfecting the six perfections, abiding in the six things to be constantly practiced, rich with the flowers of the seven branches of enlightenment, teaching the eightfold path, skilled in the nine successive absorptions, possessing the power of the ten strengths, universally flourishing with fame in the ten directions, surpassing even those who wield power a hundredfold or a thousandfold. By virtue of their nature, three times during the day and three times during the night, with the Buddha's eye, they observe the world, seeing who is declining, who is prospering, who is impoverished, who is distressed, who is afflicted, who is impoverished, distressed, and afflicted, who is inclined towards the lower realms, who is falling into the lower realms, who has fallen into the lower realms, who I shall rescue from the lower realms and place in the heavenly realms, liberation, and fruition, who is sinking in the mire of desire, whom I shall draw out by the hand, who lacks the seven noble riches, whom I shall empower to possess the dominion of the seven noble riches, who has not generated roots of virtue, whom I shall cause to generate them, who has already generated roots of virtue, whom I shall cause to fully ripen, who has fully ripened, thinking that I shall liberate them, and thus engages in the contemplation of wisdom. Here it is said: The ocean is the abode of aquatic creatures, and the tides may cease, but for those sons who are to be tamed, the Buddha never misses the opportune time. Then, the Blessed One, in the early morning, having put on his lower garment and robes, took his bowl and went to Shravasti for alms. Then that man saw the Blessed Buddha, whose body was well adorned with the thirty-two marks of a great being, beautified by the eighty minor marks, surrounded by a fathom of light, possessing light surpassing a thousand suns, all-good like a moving mountain of jewels. Having seen him, he prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, I am worthy of being granted the supreme, I beseech the Blessed One to grant me the sparing of my life. Then the Blessed One spoke to the venerable Ananda: Ananda, go and say this to King Prasenajit: Great King, please give this man to me, and I will ordain him.

Do it like that! Then, the Venerable Ananda, having heard the Blessed One's teachings, went to King Pasenadi of Kosala, and upon arriving, conveyed the Blessed One's message to King Pasenadi of Kosala, saying: Great King, please allow this man to go forth into homelessness under the Blessed One. King Pasenadi of Kosala, also recognizing it as highly appropriate, granted permission. The Blessed One then ordained him and conferred upon him the full ordination of a bhikkhu. Through diligence, practice, and effort, he realized that this wheel of the five-eyed cycle of existence is wavering and unstable. He thoroughly understood that all conditioned phenomena are of the nature of decay, decline, disintegration, and destruction, thereby abandoning all defilements and directly realizing the state of an Arhat. The Arhat, having become free from attachment to the three realms, possessed a mind that regarded gold and tiles as equal, a mind like the sky and the palm of the hand, cooled as if soaked in sandalwood, having shattered the shell of ignorance with wisdom, having attained wisdom, supernormal knowledge, and individual perfect knowledge, having turned his back on the gains, attachments, and honors of craving, became an object of worship, remembrance, and reverence by the gods, including those with power and attendants. Then, the bhikkhus became doubtful and inquired of the Buddha, the Blessed One, who cuts off all doubts: Venerable One, it is wondrous that the Blessed One can accomplish everything merely through intention! The Blessed One taught: Bhikkhus, the Tathagata himself, in other past lives, accumulated merit and possessed the conditions, having done and accumulated those actions that are sure to come and occur, like crossing a torrent. Who else would experience the actions I have done and accumulated? Bhikkhus, actions done and accumulated do not mature in the external earth element, nor do they mature in the water element, fire element, or wind element. Good and bad actions done and accumulated will only mature in the aggregates, elements, and sense bases that are grasped. Of sentient beings,
