Sa. Rays of golden light, surpassing the light of a thousand suns, dispelled the darkness and illuminated the entire house. Rays of loving-kindness, cultivated for a thousand eons, were also emitted, and as soon as they touched his body, he became completely refreshed. Then, the Blessed One went to his door, and the doorkeeper informed him, saying, "The Blessed One is at the door." Then, the merchant's eldest son was overjoyed. He, who was barely breathing, took a breath and thought, "It is wonderful that the Blessed One has come! Please invite the Blessed One inside. I long to see the face of the Blessed One." Then, the Blessed One entered the house and sat on the prepared seat. Having sat down, the Blessed One said to the young man, "Young man, what troubles do you have?" The young man replied, "I have physical and mental suffering." Then, the Blessed One taught him the teachings of loving-kindness for all sentient beings, saying, "This is the antidote to your mental suffering." Then, the Lord of the World thought, "How wonderful it would be if Indra, the Lord of the Gods, could bring the medicinal tree from the sandalwood mountain!" As soon as the Blessed One had this thought, Indra, the Lord of the Gods, took the medicinal tree from the sandalwood mountain and offered it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One took the tree in his hand and gave it to the young man, saying, "This will pacify the suffering and fever of your body." Then, he obtained the bliss of a body and mind that were completely subdued, and he felt joy towards the Blessed One. Having felt joy, he informed King Clear Light and offered the Blessed One and his assembly of Shravakas a meal, and offered priceless garments, and also made offerings with flowers, incense, and all kinds of garlands. Then, with a joyful heart, he made the aspiration: "By this root of virtue, bodhicitta, and the act of giving, may I, just as the Blessed One, the supreme king of physicians, has healed me, also in the future...

Then, for the blind world without a guide and completely without a guide, (he vowed) to become a Buddha who saves beings who have not yet been saved, liberates beings who have not yet been liberated, gives breath to beings who have not yet breathed, and completely liberates beings who have not yet completely escaped from sorrow. Then, the Blessed One, knowing that the great cause passes from one to another, and the karma passes from one to another, smiled. This is the Dharma nature of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, when they smile. At that time, blue, yellow, red, and white rays of light emanated from his mouth, some rays went down, and some rays went up. The rays that went down entered the hells of beings, namely the reviving hell, the black line hell, the crushing hell, the crying hell, the great crying hell, the hot hell, the extremely hot hell, the uninterrupted hell, the blister hell, the blister bursting hell, the Sothams hell, the Jihud hell, the Achu hell, Split like an উৎপལ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari utpala, Sanskrit Roman transliteration utpala, Chinese literal meaning: blue lotus), split like a पद्म (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari padma, Sanskrit Roman transliteration padma, Chinese literal meaning: lotus), and became split like a great lotus. In those hot hells, the light became cool and descended. In those cold hells, the light became warm and descended. Therefore, the particularities of the suffering of those beings were pacified. Then, they thought: Have we died and transmigrated from here? Or have we been reborn elsewhere? Then, in order to generate faith in them, the Blessed One manifested emanations. Seeing the emanations, they thought: We have neither died and transmigrated from here, nor have we been reborn elsewhere. However, by the power of this unprecedented appearance of beings, the particularities of our suffering have been pacified. Then, they developed great joy in the emanations, thereby exhausting the karma that would cause them to experience the suffering of hell, and they will be reborn among gods and humans, in those places that are fit to be vessels of truth. The rays that went up reached the Four Great Kings, the Thirty-three Gods, the Non-contention Gods, the Tushita Gods, the Enjoying Emanation Gods.
