How could there be no harm? One must think of a way! For those who completely follow their desires, there is no hesitation to commit evil deeds. That one who faced the cliff of unpleasantness, after being deceived into trusting (her), just by drinking (that medicine), would cause the fetus of the affliction mother to stop growing, (she) gave such an abortifacient. Then, the later wife gathered all the relatives and accused the previous wife, saying: You deceived me into trusting you and gave me an abortifacient, causing my child to stop growing. Then, the previous wife swore among the relatives, saying: If I gave you an abortifacient, may I become a Rakshasi and eat all the children born. Lotus Gift's son, what do you think? The one who became the merchant's wife, that is the Rakshasi, she was born as a Rakshasi because of her previous jealousy. Because of the maturation of the karma of lying and swearing, she gave birth to five children day and night and ate them. Lotus Gift's son, therefore you should strive to avoid the faults of speech, so that such sins as the Rakshasi do not occur, Lotus Gift's son, you should learn in this way. After the Blessed One spoke thus, the venerable Lotus Gift's son, as well as gods, Asuras, Garudas, Kinnaras, Mahoragas, and other beings also rejoiced and praised the words spoken by the Blessed One. The twelfth chapter of the "Hundred Parables Sutra," called Outer Earth Pit. The Buddha, the Blessed One, was revered, respected, honored, and worshipped by kings, great ministers, wealthy people, palace attendants, merchants, captains, gods, Nagas, Yakshas, Asuras, Garudas, Kinnaras, and Mahoragas, and with gods, Nagas, Yakshas, Asuras, Garudas, Kinnaras, and Ma

The Buddha, the Bhagavan, who is worshipped and known by the great places of offering, possessed of great merit, having obtained robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine for sickness, and medicinal supplies, together with the monastic community of hearers, was dwelling in the tiered house near the Monkey Pond in Vaishali. At that time, in a city garbage pit in Vaishali, there lived five hundred hungry ghosts who ate vomit as food, ate discarded things, lived on nasal mucus and urine, ate pus and blood and feces, were disgusting, and were naturally suffering. It was also said: 'Eating vomit and eating discarded things, living on nasal mucus and urine, also eating pus, blood, and feces, disgusting and naturally dwelling in suffering.' In that Vaishali, there also lived a Brahmin, who took a wife from the same caste, and he played and rejoiced and enjoyed himself with her. As he played and rejoiced and enjoyed himself, his wife became pregnant, and her body became foul-smelling. Then the Brahmin summoned the soothsayers and asked them, and they said, 'This is because of the power of the child in the womb.' After some time, when she was eight or nine months pregnant, she gave birth to a son, a boy with an ugly complexion, unpleasant to look at, with a bad appearance, defiled by an unclean body, and emitting a foul odor. Although he was extremely ugly, he was raised by his parents because of the bond of love. He only delighted in unclean places, pulling hair in piles of rags and in the latrine, putting unclean things in his mouth, and therefore his name became Latrine, Latrine. After some time, as he wandered around, he was seen by Upatissa the Parivrajaka, who thought to himself, 'Since this one delights in such places, he is certainly an accomplished person, and I should ordain him.' He ordained him, and he wandered around naked and also stayed in doing good. Then, as he wandered and went, he saw the five hundred hungry ghosts dwelling in the garbage pit of Vaishali, and because of his connection with the ripening of previous karma, he went into that city's garbage pit, and gathering and meeting with them, he became happy and became friends.

Later, a boy, being busy with some outside affairs, went to Vaisali. The Blessed One also went to the pit of that city, and those pretas saw the body of the Buddha, the Blessed One, perfectly adorned with the thirty-two marks of a great man, beautified by the eighty minor marks, surrounded by a fathom of light, possessing light surpassing a thousand suns, like a moving mountain of jewels, all-good. As soon as they saw him, they prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One and said: Blessed One, we are poor! The Blessed One said: Why are you poor? The pretas said: Blessed One, we are thirsty! Then, the Blessed One emitted five streams of water with eight qualities from his five fingers, and with that he satisfied those five hundred pretas. Then, they became joyful in their minds towards the Blessed One, and after dying, they were born in the good heaven of the Thirty-Three (Trayastrimsa). After a son or daughter of the gods is born, according to the law, three thoughts arise: From where did I die and transmigrate? Where was I born? By what karma was I born? Then, they saw that they had died and transmigrated from the preta realm, and that they were born in the good heaven of the Thirty-Three, and that they had become joyful in their minds towards the Blessed One. Then, those sons of the gods who had previously been pretas thought: It is not my share to go to see the Blessed One after waiting a long time. Let us go to see the Blessed One without waiting too long! Then, those sons of the gods who had previously been pretas, wearing earrings and armlets that jingled and swayed, their bodies adorned with necklaces and bracelets, wearing crowns adorned with various jewels, their bodies anointed with saffron, tamala leaves, and kara and other perfumes, on that very night filled containers with divine utpala flowers, lotuses, kumuda, white lotuses, and mandarava flowers, illuminated all the tiered houses with great light, scattered flowers on the Blessed One, and sat before the Blessed One to listen to the Dharma. Then, the Blessed One to those sons of the gods who had previously been pretas
