Oh. (Shuimo) said: "It can be done that way, you should also sit in front of the benefactor." The hungry ghost woman said: "I, a single daughter, am sitting naked, feeling ashamed and unable to face it." (Shuimo) said: "Mother, when you were committing sins, you didn't feel ashamed, why do you feel ashamed now when you are experiencing the results?" The hungry ghost woman said: "Then I will do it that way." After that, (Shuimo) asked the relatives from house to house about their faith, and the next day invited the Buddha and the Sangha of monks to offer food. When it was time for the meal, the Buddha and the Sangha of monks also gathered. That hungry ghost woman also sat in front of the benefactor. Countless beings gathered together and saw that hungry ghost woman. They saw that the body of that hungry ghost woman was ugly, and they felt very sad and rejoiced in the Blessed One. After that, the venerable (Shuimo) satisfied the Buddha and the Sangha of monks with delicious food, and requested to speak about the origin of merit for the hungry ghost woman. After that, the Blessed One himself spoke about the origin of giving with language that possessed five branches: Whatever merit from this giving, may that hungry ghost follow it like a shadow. May she quickly be liberated from the extremely fearful realm of hungry ghosts! So he said. After that, the Blessed One, based on that cause, taught the Dharma that was in accordance with that to that hungry ghost woman and many people, and countless beings heard it and realized the truth. That hungry ghost woman also rejoiced in her heart, and after death was reborn as a hungry ghost with great magical powers. The venerable (Shuimo) also knew that she had been reborn as a hungry ghost with great magical powers. After that, the venerable (Shuimo) said: "Mother, now with your magical powers, please give alms completely." The hungry ghost woman with great magical powers said: "I, a single daughter, do not like giving, I cannot do it." After that, the venerable (Shuimo) said to the hungry ghost woman with great magical powers: "The darkness of desire has blinded your eyes, you have created the world of hungry ghosts. Your huge bones have no flesh, the bones, skin, and wrinkles are still there." So he said.

Then, the Venerable Chumä repeatedly scolded and said, and after that, he obtained a pair of cloths from her. Then Chumä offered it to the Sangha, and the monk who bought a pair of cloths from the Sangha placed it on the clothes rack. Then that female preta came at night and stole it. Then that monk blamed the Venerable Chumä, and Chumä went and scolded that female preta, took it back, and gave it to him. In this way, she stole from that monk three times, and the Venerable Chumä took it back and gave it to him, and that monk also left because of it. He sewed it onto a cushion for the Sangha of monks from the four directions. Then she did not steal anymore after that. Therefore, seeing beings becoming arrogant due to stinginess in this way, one should strive to abandon stinginess in order to prevent such faults of that female preta from occurring. After the Blessed One spoke thus, those monks, as well as gods, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, and other beings, rejoiced and praised the words spoken by the Blessed One. The story called "The Blind Man" is as follows: Kings, great ministers, wealthy people, people of the royal palace, merchants, and captains, as well as gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, all revered, respected, honored as teachers, drew pictures of, and made offerings to the Buddha, the Blessed One. The Buddha, the Blessed One, who was offered to and known by gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, possessed great merit and obtained robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicines, and medical supplies. Together with the Sangha of Shravakas, he resided in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove of Anathapindika's Garden in the park of Prince Jeta. Then, the Venerable Nanda, in the early morning, having put on his lower garment and Dharma robes, took his bowl and went to Shravasti for alms.
