(With a loud voice), proclaiming the great sound of the true lion of the supreme flock, completely abandoning the five faults, perfectly transcending the five realms of existence, possessing six qualities, perfecting the six paramitas, abiding in the six things to be constantly practiced, rich with the flowers of the seven branches of enlightenment, teaching the eightfold path, skilled in the nine successive absorptions, possessing the power of the ten strengths, spreading everywhere with fame in the ten directions, being far more excellent than those who wield power over ten hundredfold. By their very nature, the Buddhas, three times during the day and three times during the night, with the eye of a Buddha, look upon the world: Who is declining? Who is prospering? Who is poor and destitute? Who has become miserable? Who is afflicted with harm? Who is poor, miserable, and afflicted with harm? Who is inclined towards the evil realms? Who is falling into the evil realms? Who has fallen into the evil realms? Who shall I rescue from the evil realms and place in the heavens, liberation, and fruition? Who is sinking in the mire of desire, from whose hand shall I draw them? Who lacks the seven noble riches, whom shall I cause to wield power over the dominion of the seven noble riches? Who has not generated roots of virtue, whom shall I cause to generate them? Who has already generated roots of virtue, whom shall I cause to fully ripen them? Who has fully ripened, whom shall I cause to be completely liberated? Thus, wisdom and vision are engaged. Here it is said: The ocean is the abode of aquatic creatures, and the tides may sometimes recede. But for the sons who are to be tamed, the Buddha's teachings never come too late. Then, the Bhagavan saw that the Brahmins had previously generated roots of virtue, and from that, they had become endowed with the opportunity for liberation, they had found what was to be sought, they looked inward towards Nirvana, and they looked outward from Samsara. Seeing these, he thought, 'Now, by relying on unwholesome friends, they have become hateful towards my teachings. I shall strive to tame them.' Then, the Bhagavan transformed himself into the likeness of Indra, illuminating the hall of offerings with divine light, and went there. Then, those Brahmins were joyful, delighted, and exceedingly happy, pleased and joyful, and became happy and content, restraining their voices, they said: Bhagavan...

Please depart, please depart. The Blessed One has departed, well done! Then, the Blessed One, appearing in the guise of Indra, sat on the prepared seat. Then, throughout the city of Rajagriha, the sound arose that Indra, the lord of the gods, had gone to make offerings. Hearing this, hundreds of thousands of beings gathered. Then, the Blessed One, knowing that the Brahmins had developed faith, made the appearance of Indra disappear and entered into the appearance of a Buddha. He taught the Dharma in such a way that they would realize the Four Noble Truths. Hearing this, sixty-two thousand Brahmins, with the Vajra of Wisdom, shattered the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates, and directly realized the fruit of stream-entry. Hundreds of thousands of beings also found faith in the Blessed One. Then, those monks became doubtful, and in order to cut off all doubts, they asked the Buddha, the Blessed One: Venerable One, it is wonderful that these Brahmins have met the Blessed One in this way and realized the truth, and that hundreds of thousands of beings have obtained great joy! The Blessed One said: Monks, the Tathagata himself, in other past lives, accumulated merit and possessed the completed causes, and appeared like crossing a difficult ford. Because he did and accumulated deeds that would not be in vain, how could others experience those deeds that I did and accumulated? Monks, the deeds done and accumulated will not mature in the external realm of earth, nor will they mature in the realm of water, fire, or wind. The virtuous and non-virtuous deeds done and accumulated will only mature in the aggregates, realms, and sources that are grasped. The deeds of sentient beings will not be wasted even for hundreds of eons. When they are accumulated and the time arrives, they will mature into their own fruit. Monks, in the past, in the bygone era, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly and Fully Awakened One, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Well-Gone, the Knower of the World, the Guide of beings to be tamed.
